I just got the newsletter and have downloaded Uhbik v1.2 :)

Is there a Release note anywhere?

I saw this on the web page: "System Requirements: CPU with SSE2 or AltiVec". Is that correct ? v1.1 did not need the SSE2 instruction code set.

Hmmm... we haven't got any non-SSE2 machine for testing... I assume that maybe Uhbik-G (Granuilar device) and Q (Equaliser) need it. Also maybe Runciter.

We have upped the System requirements for everything to be on the safe side.

If you back up your Uhbik 1.1 and test Uhbik 1.2 you should be good.

On the other hand side, if you don't have a 64-bit system there is not much need to upgrade. Just install anyway for the new Uhbik-A presets...

Thank you, Urs.

I'll let you know :)

Edit:
On double-clicking the Installer .exe file (Windows XP Home SP2, on an "SSE" system):

Oh... of course! :dog:

The Shortcut/Symbolic link evaluation is done in the Uhbik-DLL itself during the installation. If the installer crashes then it's compiled with SSE2 switched on by default. Hence I suppose it won't work on non-SSE2 machines.

I'm not sure if it makes sense to create extra SSE1 versions of Uhbik 1.2 - the only real difference on Windows is 64-bit support.

You can try and extract the new presets from here:

Thank you for the .zip file.

I've extracted the presets from there :). And all the v1.2 dll files load Ok here (SSE2 dlls generally crash on loading).

If the only change on Windows is 64-bit support, then I agree, no real need. (Don't you just love us Luddites!)
