It might be a partial misunderstanding, there's a small epoxy grey "black box" called mojo module, housing something like a preset Boogie EQ afaik.
Apparently newer models didn't have the epoxy, so you should be able to find out.
Anyway, these amps are built like tanks, I wouldn't worry.
Two potential weak spots I know of, the switching jacks of the loop (like on all Boogies from that period) and the tube mode switch in front, nothing terrifying.
