Hi!

I'm working exclusively with U-he plugins at the moment to learn how to use them a little better :)
While I'm working on these tracks I noticed some things that would be really nice to have:

ACE
  • Loopable envelopes (like Tyrell)
  • A CV input for the ramp speed
  • A phase control for the oscs
  • A FX version with an audio input would be awesome (maybe it could replace the extra imput in the mixer in the FX version)
Uhbik-A
  • A "Mix lock"
Uhbik-D
  • An "extreme" mode which widens the modulation range of the LFO (please don't tell me again that I should buy MFM :hihi:)
Zebrify
  • An option to reset the LFOs at the song start (I know I can reset them with midi)
  • A high quality option for the delay. I love the artifacts when the delay time gets modulated but it would be nice to have a HQ option
Runciter
  • A LFO. Maybe something like in Uhbik-P/F?
That's all :hihi:
I really  my U-he plugins and I can't wait until I can afford MFM2 (maybe I'll win it in a ZPC someday :hihi:).
I just want to help to improve them :)
Thanks again for the great plugins and the awesome support and community :tu:

Cheers
Dennis

Wow, that could have some serious(but much desired) side effects to the listener's health... :-o

I've got some:

For Zebra:
How about some Cabinet sims? :wheee:

This one's kind of a biggie, and I feel like it may have already been addressed, but how about some additional slots in the wavetable editor?

And finally, it would be useful in some circumstances to have a 'loop' mode for the wavetable cycles. You can sort of do it with a Saw shaped LFO, but it's not smooth like I want it. You can also turn down the resolution to achieve a smoother effect, but it'd be nice to have a clean transition from slot 16 to slot 1 in the higher resolution zone.
:)

So derned mysterious! :hihi:

EDIT: I've got one more, and this is more of a question than a request: will it ever be possible to modulate an oscillator's wavetable resolution from within Zebra itself?

Post

Oh! Is this the new FR thread? GREAT!!

Actually I had one with regards to sync and Zebra (and possibly the other synths): it would be great if anything "synced" to midi clock went through a master divisor on the general tab that would instantly subdivide the master clock to musically useful subdivisions, allowing you to alter the master time base the synced parameters use. It would be a simple way to multiply or divide the time reference for synced parameters without having to change each of them individually.

I assume Zebra doesn't track SPP so that the LFO output is predictable throughout a song. Could be a pain to implement but that would solve this and other issues.

It's already possible. Go to the matrix, select Oscillator(x) > Resolution as target

I want Zebra able to order me a Beer and Pizza :D Modulated of course :D

To make it clear: These are just a few ideas I came up with while working intensively with these plugins. "A Few feature suggestions" may have been a better topic title. I  the plugins exactly as they are now :)

I'm making huge progress with the "U-He only"" tracks :)
I hope you'll like them! The coolest thing would be if someone would buy a U-He plugin because of them :)

Was just a joke..no worries!

I got some ideas as well, but on the other side im not closely using all i could with these plugins..so i wont be bored in the long run..just so many things to do..

still a surround-capable zebra would be nice :D

Or even tyrell with surroundoutput would be mindblowing..

Nice! Somehow managed to never see that...

Now I'ma go and make a Beer and Pizza preset... :help:

What I would *really* like are both more shaper blocks in Zebrify and more distortion types. Sample rate reduction would be nice. In fact, a couple of dedicated 'lo-fi' blocks with bitcrusher and sample rate reduction would be really nice! I always run out of shaper blocks far too quickly!

Pretty, pretty please

Another thing that would be really cool on Zebrify would be to have an optional multiband filter at the input stage so you basically set a crossover freq for each of the four inputs, similar to the way Ohmicide/Trash works in multiband mode. Up the available amount of shapers/compressors to one per channel and you've then got a multiband distortion/compressor/filter unit to rival the best out there IMO.

I love Zebrify though and have only really begun scraping the surface of what it can do. Can do awesome lo-fi stuff with 'Speakerphone' after it.

Hey, samplerate reduction is already there, in the form of "SR Decimator" in the VCF modules :)

Cool!

I love that module... I've found all sorts of unexpected uses for it!

+1 :tu:
It's fun to combine it with the bit crusher (shaper in "crush" mode):)
