The point I tried to make was, even though there might be an opportunity to plaster my website with famous names, I don't feel like this kind of advertisement is of any help to anyone. I also think that my software speaks or itself. If it doesn't, then that sort of marketing is rather contraproductive. IMHO.

For me Uhbik is a bargain. It was a no-brainer purchase for me when it came out. Then Urs threw in Uhbik-G, which is simply a mind blowing plug-in. No electronic musician should be without it! At the risk of seeming like I'm promoting myself, here are a couple pieces of mine that use various Ubik effects, especially G:

Hey,
I won't deeply join in on the general discussion, just my 2ct. Imho u-he as a company has a great support and very "friendly" feel. I just hope it can stay like this and at the same time grow bigger.
About Uhbik-X: I've been using Uhbik for some time now and I too can completely live without the "rack" and stacking-capabilities Uhbik-X was supposed to provide. What I was actually hoping for were the modulations... The rack functionality is obviously the hard part so... wouldn't it be possible to provide some more modulations inside the Uhbik effects, now that modulation won't come in the form of Uhbik-X..?
Let's say some global routable stuff like in Filterscape, could look and work the same for all Uhbiks... or a less classic system; I like the ways OhmForce (dedicated modulation section for almost each parameter) or Fabfilter (modulation modules that can be connected via mouse-dragging a handle to any parameter) implement things...
Whatsoever, it doesn't really matter that much to me HOW it is implemented. Just some modulation system, a few synced LFOs, maybe some flexible envelope follower, etc.. would be amazing:-)
Any chance smth like this could make it into the PlugIns?
Than I would definitely not have any need for Uhbik-X any more:-)
Best,
V

I love this statement and totally love the company (I won't say I love you Urs because...well, you know...)Urs wrote:I also think that my software speaks or itself. If it doesn't, then that sort of marketing is rather contraproductive. IMHO.
Now the real reason I clicked on this topic tonight - I FINALLY got the Uhbik bundle. I am so ecstatic after hearing the results that I need to start a topic about it.
I only wish I had the cash for Zebra2
