Amen! :D

I have fixed the bug that caused ComboF to not make any sound after loading, so v0.8.1 alpha is online now.

Post

Wow thanks for your hard work and time making these great plugins! Looking forward to checking this one out!

Post

Thank you Martinic for this nice instrument.

You are welcome. :)

I have just uploaded v0.8.2 alpha:
  • Corrected Multi-Tone/All Booster levels
  • Tweaked noise, chatter and mains hum
  • Added lock tuning, so tuning persists when changing presets
  • Double-click instead of single-click on top to open settings window
  • Minor tweaks (footage labels, slider values position)

Forgot to say it earlier but this newest version sounds great. Another phenomenal combo organ plugin. Thanks!

You are welcome. :)

I am working on the extend bass now, which will extend the bass from one to two octaves (just like on the more advanced Farfisas), so I will post another update probably somewhere this week.

great stuff thanks! :tu:

You are welcome. :)

I have just released v0.8.3 alpha:
  • Implemented extended bass (like on the Combo Deluxe Compact)
  • Louder bass voice
  • Added auto adjust volume parameter which "boosts" softer voices (Dolce and Principale)
  • Added noise gate parameter, so noise gate can be switched off
  • Remodelled vibrato
  • Show/edit vibrato speed adjust in Hz
  • Added smoothing filter to knee lever and volume pedal
  • Fixed excessive pops/clicks when switching voices
  • Added MIDI Program Change support
  • [Mac OS X] DMG installers
EDIT: I have just uploaded a audio sample of Combo Model F called Farfisa Blues in C. The first time around you get an almost Hammond-like sound, the 2nd time around you get the typical Farfisa sound.

I have just released Combo Model F v0.9.0 beta. Changes:
  • PDF documentation
  • Click on toggle switch label to toggle
I have also uploaded a new audio demo featuring Combo Model F.

Congrats! You've made a great instrument! (and 1st farfisa organ emulator available [as far i know]). I've tried your farfisa emulator - it sounds really good! Plenty of character, i like it. So to the point:
I thought about binding pitch-wheel to vibrato speed. It makes perfect sense to me as vibrato on/off is modulation wheel, vibrato speed might as well be nearby. However it is impossible in current version. I'm using Axiom 49, and i've tried many organs, I even sampled combo-organs myself. I think this option would be cool.
Now i think you should add sustain option (standard cc#64). I've already written some songs involving sustain switch, so i could free my hands for another keyboard (I talk about live playing here, in recording all this doesn't matter as you could just write automation), and it would be a shame to give up such a nice instrument in favor of the mediocre one with sustain option.

And just to dream a little bit: I've been looking for someone to make transistor-sounding piano. Rock-si-chord sound was pretty good, but as a kontakt library it ate ridiculous amount of cpu power (which i better dedicate to lower latency than to sample library). Anyway you could just use your Farfisa organ engine to make Farfisa Professional Piano. . I love the sound (and can't nail it using any vst i've tried). It is said that pro piano also uses velocity sensitive keyboard! This sparkling sound is very rare (and beautiful), I must say.
