Hello forum.
First time here, a proud owner of a legal copy of MDrummer Large purchased about a month ago and have a question.
I know that the AU plugin version of MDrummer Large does not output to an external MIDI Sound Generator and save the results as a MIDI file (.mid) like the VST version.

Would it work/output to MIDI if, I was to purchase Bidule?
Here is a link:

Your knowledge and input on this matter is appreciated
Thanks,

Hi GSPro,

well, I don't really know what you want to do with Bidule. I hope it will be possible to create AU MIDI output, though so far no success due to lack of Apple documentation.
Anyway you can still use song structures to generate drum track and render it as MIDI by drag&dropping it into the host.

Hello MeldaProduction,

Here is what I read on their forum and it sounds like that DAW that support AU plugs don't support MIDI out.

Looks like that Bidule works as a plugin wrapper? Could it be a workaround for now?

You Said:

Can you please give a step by step procedure on how to do this?

Thank you very much for the info

Well, in that case ;). I don't really know, never heard about it.

Ok, so
1) In Globals/Song structure edit the arrangement the same way you would do in your host.
2) Click the "arrow MIDI" icon (bottom right) and drag & drop it somewhere and it should generate full MIDI output of selected track in the song structure.
