i don't post here often, but i just had to chime in and tell you that this soundbank sounds truly amazing and unique. a true work of art. i'm pretty sure i'm buying this tomorrow.

i have a few questions though, i really liked most of the sounds in the clips, but some of them seemed a little spacey for what i'd like to use them for. i'm not really that much of an ambient guy myself, so i'm wondering how much of the effects can be stripped off with the violin or vocals to still sound convincing but not as spacey/deep, so they could be used, for example, in an orchestral setting?

also, how much of the effects, or any, are printed on the samples, ie. can't be removed? i'm mostly interested in the acoustic instruments, the printed-in effects on the synth-stuff doesn't matter since it's obviously how they're meant to be.

thanks!

ps. i hope all the best for your business so i want to give you a tip, you might want to redesign your website - your samplepacks deserve a more professional looking layout :) you can get a pro to make one these days for the price of like two of these samplepacks

Hi,
I just had the website redesigned by a pro at the beginning of this year for the price of about 10-15 Sound Banks so if I didn't hit your taste, sorry but the current design doesn't seem to keep people away from my site at all. You should have seen it last year, OMG :)

All the patches have Controls for Reverb/Delay/Modulation->Chorus/Flanging/Phasing amount, set them to dry or bypass them in an instance, or decrease the Reverb time. That's what I often do myself when using those sounds in my compositions, I then apply external Bus effects which blend in with the overall Mix. Sometimes though I'll just use the internal FX because they just work of have complex LFO modulation assigned to them which are an essential part of the patch.
The violin multisamples were produced totally dry, so were the vocal samples. Most tonal vocal samples were treated with Melodyne. The percussion and mallet samples are also dry. Then there are some derivates of those natural instruments that are heavily treated with alls sorts of FX and/or processed with Metasynth.
Hope that helps;)

haha yeah sorry man, looking back at my post, didn't want to seem as dick about it as i might have. i think it's the blue theme that doesn't do well with my tastes, i'd prefer black but that's just me.

thanks a lot for your help, i'll be sure to buy it today :)

Hello,
here's a small demo of one of the beautiful violin patches in Alchemistry Beyond
http://soundcloud.com/matteo-gazzolo/attendi-wait

Hope you like it, and it will help you to get to decide to grab this amazing sound bank!!
Of course, this is just one "acoustic" sample of the many-faced complexity of Alchemistry Beyond, really a lot more is inside this bank...

Best Wishes :-)

;) Yeah, that patch can be quite hypnotic...

I'm enjoying all the vocal patches - I would love a soundset based on something like Berio's Thema

I have to thank this set for reminding me how harmonically rich the natural world is...

although that can be enhanced... :)

Speaking of Berio - I'll be doing the sound direction for a concert in Munich later this year where Berio's Sinfonia is being performed. The vocal ensemble Synergy Vocals from the UK are singing it and I'll ask them if they are interested/affordable for doing a sample session for another Alchemy/Kontakt Bank. We did this piece already last summer here in Berlin and they're performing it great!

HAHA, poor old Luise, she was so excited when I finally let her into the studio to record some of her purring, a few months later she was no more... Turn up the Combfilter's Resonance to enhance her a bit :)

Have had this for a while now, here's some thoughts:

I have to say, even though i like some of the vocal patches, they can't be customized too much to fit more regular needs for a solo vocalist. however i believe this wasn't the initial purpose and with some tweaking, they can be used for a variety of different contexts.

as for the violin, and all the other acoustic (sounding) instruments... They're all fantastic and very usable. I've been doing this cinematic soundtrack type of stuff as of late and i keep coming back to these. Same goes for the pads. Amazing.

Haven't dwelled too deep into the fx/loops, but i've played through all of the patches and found many to my liking in every category.

Thanks for breathing new life into my Alchemy :)
