Since I can't demo it I don't know what everyone is talking about. Anyways, I just like the idea of the filters.
Sorry to make you cross, but I don't know that I notice the stereo crosstalk really (which is probably a good thing), but I do know that the Sonimus Satson plug-ins are really light on the CPU and make it really easy to set volume levels while mixing. And if you're going to buy it, now would be the time before the whopping $11 increase next Wednesday  .
Oh, thanks for the heads up on the price change........was not aware. Other than hollowsuns new creation (8.41 usd) I haven't bought anything in a while and this sounds like something that could be used for just about anything.

11 bucks INCREASE (to 50USD) for just some bugfixes?

Are you kidding me?
Inlfation sure must be high as of late.

No wonder that possible customers are hesitating - such info is only known THROUGH current users recieving a newsletter. Shy or not - stuff like that should be clearly mentioned in a news section on the developers homepage.

EDIT:
Aparently, it's on the KVR news - but KVR sure as hell is not the developers page! And definitely not the ONLY music community out there.

It's been talked about at length on Gearslutz, one of the most popular audio websites on the web.
More than that.... the price rise was flagged weeks ago and everyone was well informed that if they wanted Satson for $39 they had a few weeks to buy it. I don't believe the price change is about bug fixes. There were no real bugs in version 1, mine worked perfectly. I think the initial low price was to get the product moving, and the new price is a lot more realistic.
You really seem to be reaching in all directions to find reasons to criticise Satson and Sonimus.
Incidentally they have a very nice sounding EQ plug-in that's free,.....FREE!
No bugs on that either.

Oh really... in one of the closed ones, or one of the garble-garble-nonsense ones? I kind of lost track...

Your opinion - personally I don't think so.

I reach to all directions with EVERY FIRM I test plugins from. Paranoia is everywhere it seems.

So have others. Again, where is your point?

I've stated my points/opinions - again. Looks like the Sonimus crowd is still "pleased" no matter what you throw at them. Good that there is enough competition by now and Sonimus queered several possibilities to proove the sceptic fraction wrong.

I guess I just stick to what I have to build myself the "ultimate console"... though I somewhat lost track on that end (too many possibilities, too much time needed to mix/match).

*pft* Whatever.
See you folks around... Image

Well for the record, he actually mention it at his own place, just not an English page where he announced it (sonimus.com). All current users get it for free anyway so it's more of a general price increase and not specifically for bug fix.

Like I said, there was no bug to fix in the first version of satson.
It worked..... worked well.
The new version 1.1 changes and improves things based on customer feedback.
Yes, the price rise was mentioned in numerous places, including the current open Satson thread at Gearslutz.
Strange that someone finds fault in the fact the 'sonimus crowd is still pleased'....
It works flawlessly, it's cheap, it sounds good, even if all you want is a little gain adjustment and hi-pass filtering. There is nothing to really dislike. However no one is forced to use it.

when you register, is it manual? I have to activate in order to do this.....99.99% of the time I get my activations/to activate instantly.

Post

Oh for crying out loud, you can't even email them about it  Oh well.......

Post

@hibidy:

I just created a "dummy" account and the activation mail ("Account activation on dsp.sonimus.com" was the name of the mail) was sent immediately so it's definitely an automated process. Sorry to ask, did you check your spam folder?

Cheers

Ok, I'm either nuts or this is the shit! I cannot believe how nice the HPF is to work with. The "mono" function is highly useful and it seems (knock on wood) to work well in reaper and maschine so far.

Absolutely. It's not surprising how many customers of this developer's product are "pleased" with the results, is it? If you get my "drift".

Yeah, it really is a great deal at $39 and a very good one even at $50. I'm usually not into "Secret Sauce" plugins, but this one is so easy to use and you can use it on anything. The only thing that might be cause for pause is that SKNote's console plug is now (or will be on Weds) $20 cheaper, but it's not really a direct comparison.
