Just wanted to post about it! Great videos! I love the SH-09 kick sound and the Juno sounds! :)

What a nice collection! *drool*
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Thanks, cool videos!

My friend has lent me his Roland System 100 (the keyboard version showed in the video) and I have never heard such a powerful sounding synth, both software or hardware. It is truly immense!

Very cool! Can Zebra do all that?

JUNO-60 sounded amazing.

Thanks for a great video! The Roland reminds me of my beloved SH-1000. I learned analog on that puppy.

I too loved the Juno. I recently acquired the Arturia Jupiter 8V and Moog ModularV together as a bundle and am enjoying the beautiful sounds.

I think it would be a cool idea if you'd try to rebuild some of the sounds from the video with Zebra :)

But maybe you're already doing that? :)

You know what would have been totally cool? If at the end of the video Urs appeared and told us that everything we heard was actually ACE/Zebra/Bazille/etc. overdubbing the original audio. That would have been the BOMB :-)

I thought about doing just that, but it *could* have caused some trouble with the hardware synth companies or have other negative repercussions. Tutorials about how to clone classic analogue sounds will follow soon after the next round of updates. In the meantime there are plenty of ideas for new tricks using the latest versions... Note to self: must get those done!

Wow, those are impressive. Those synths sound way better than I remember. Back in the day, the small group of players I hung out with wouldn't even touch Japanese synths because compared to their American counterparts they sounded too thin. I once owned a Korg Mono/Poly that I hardly even touched only because I got it in a really sweet deal with a Pro One ($198 for the 2). All my gear back then was Moog/Oberheim/SCI. I wonder now if it was just some kind of blind synth prejudice that stopped me from liking those synths or if my tastes have changed that much.

The Rolands had gorgeously smooth, pure-sounding oscillators and silky filters, and the controls were high quality. Where sliders were better, they had quality sliders. Where pots were better they had pots. I miss those days...I should get the old dinosaur out of the basement and let the kids play on it.

Some day when I get Zebra, the Roland'll be the one with the sign on it
