MSEG relative to pitch?

:help: I have two questions about synthesizing sounds with MSEGs in ZEBRA - first is per the subject header... I'm still really not clear on how these MSEG graph points relate to pitch vs. the length and time of the envelope... am I missing something obvious? Is there a place where those intervals are marked on a scale?

The second question in regards the contest - now having just discovered where custom/uesr MSEGs are stored - if we make patches using a custom MSEG does that info get saved along with the patch?

thanks kindly, Pete

The vertical lines represent individual TimeUnits (when the segment isn't scaled by the Attack / Loop / Release control).
I don't know what you mean by "relate to pitch" in this context.

Of course! :)

Right click on a MSEG and select "Value snap 12"

if you got an OSC module for exemple, you can assign the pitch to be modulated by the MSEG1 in this case.

See those 3 dots under an empty mod source knob in between tune and detune?
Right click, select MSEG1 and set to 12.

thanks kindly for your replies and patience ... basically i am asking how I can make the MSEG trigger those beautiful arpeggio like patterns triggered from a single note that I see in other patches - and then how to control the relative pitch of that sound in each stage of the MSEG

while looking at the "Value Snap" in your reply, - i think i may have finally inadvertently figured out through more trial and error - at least a little bit further anyway- how to do what I want by allocating the MSEG to an oscillator's "tune" knob.. is that the method I should be looking at - or is there something else?

thanks again, Pete

I actually edited my previous post instead of posting a new reply.. anyway! :D

You can set it to 24 and snap by 24 if you want a 2 octave range... might be a bit harder to control though...
