thanx for posting that susiwong

okay now I have measured just about everything in the house with my new calipers I have discovered one thing I didn't know. When I bought my warmoth strat of course it was from someone who had the parts already and I put it together but all this was done for a store I worked at...however when it didn't sell the boss MADE me buy it for what I paid for it (stupid cheap).

When I got my baritone neck I ordered the standard thin because the wizard is not available for baritone necks. I always assumed the neck on the strat was a standard thin but I had my doubts when I got the baritone. Well it turns out the strat is .790" and the baritone is .845" or for you metric people 20mm and about 21.5 mm (all measurements taken at the 12th fret) and the Ibanez Wizard is 20mm at the 12th fret. So the strat has teh wizard :D

The new esp/ltd with the neck thru comes in at .860" or 21.84mm and the daion comes in at .947" or 24.05mm also a neck thru.

Of the 4 tbh my favorite is the ltd/esp but much of that has to do with the neck thru...I would prefer the wizard thickness if I had my druthers but since getting the esp in Feb and the truth is I play that more than anything right now. (I have not measured my other guitars because they are in the cases locked away and I'm lazy) I'll pull the jackson kelly out later :)

The Kelly has that compound radius if it is a FMIC made Jacko, The ESP/LTD's have (i am certain that the model you have does) the 'Thin U Contour' or something similar is what they call it, Really fast but comfortable low to high unlike the crappy compount radius IMHHO mate. If had the kit i would measure my lot to just compare notes but i don't :)

Cheers John and all the best

you're right Dean all around, the u contour is what I have on my esp/ltd, it's really nice. Give me about two minutes after this post than check your PM ;)

They have a tone zone F spaced at GC :hyper:

But I had decided to just leave them alone.......I confuse easy

Gotcha man, I like the ESP/LTD necks as they feel more like the pre-FMIC Jacko/Charvel's and the Schecter jobs also. I think you would really like the Maverick F1 i have, Sadly Maverick packed it in though, They go cheap S/H on ebay...etc. but youd obviously want to try one first and thank you for that PM my friend :tu:

hibidy dude you are now the master of self-mind changing mate :hihi: If its on your mind then it can not be just left alone :D

Barry, hibidy and friends, My good friend Paul (insonicbloom as he is known here but only visits very occasionally) whom loves to dig out and laugh at audiophoolery has found a new level, Definately on par with those majick pebbles and blue meanies ceramic wall dot crap/snake oil site. Behold the mighty http://www.tweakaudio.com/ :hail: the current kings of crap
I am personally hooked on their 'Crystal Wraps' - Sounds like a dirty street term for scoring meth

 that phile's sole compact disc is full of test tones and calibration material i am willing to bet as there is no way they can bare the mere thought of just popping a regular CD in and just enjoying it for what it is, Too busy tweaking everlong to inifinity fidelity and beyond!

Can not believe the green pen thing is actually taken seriously as it was/is an old april fools joke back in the 80s as far as i know. It does Sweet FA

Oh is Vinnie Moore playing with/for UFO these days whilst you mention them? I know i could go look but meh too lazy :)

You are right, it is vinnie moore. I'll try to look up the clip later, but considering UFO was the very first concert I went to and "strangers in the night" is still an all time favorite it was just hard to watch. Phil Mogg can still sing ok though :)
