Hello,
please forgive me for a trivial question:
I see that all plugin manuals have been updated except Filterscape.
I am printing all manuals for easier desk reference; before I kill a few tree branches for Filterscape manual, can you tell me if this manual is going to be updated soon?
Thank you very much,
Mario

i was wondering this too - i have been reading through it today because I can't figure out why the "Arpeggiator" isn't showing up in Filterscape VA's Global Mode Selector

Well, writing a manual takes up a lot of Howard's time. As we hadn't added anything too dramatic, there was not much of a need to update it - we will though, once we get to the interesting bits!

Well, we've thought out some interesting filters for Filterscape... it would make sense to add them... some time... kind if due...

I'm really enjoying my Filterscape, both the VA and the main Filterscape effect..Urs wrote:Well, we've thought out some interesting filters for Filterscape... it would make sense to add them... some time... kind if due...
It makes me immune to all the hype out there about the latest and greatest Filters, like Waldorfs new offering.. Does the Waldorf have morphable curves, 4 different EQ modes at once,...Envelope genarators,... step sequencers, lfos,... are they as well implemented, I doubt!?? does it have the super designed compact interface, with classily back to the future look NO, my FEELING is that the other filter offerings even the latest releases pale in comparison to the GREAT filterscape..
Added bonus is the quite extensive library of patches.
Even though promise of getting new filters sound appealling, it doesn't change the fact the here 5 years or so after Filterscapes release it's still a Game changer!
A few added thoughts; the sizable interface window solves quite nicely the readabilty issues I thought I was going to have, that and my new super glasses..
No Filterscape is more up to date than lots, of one trick ponies out there..
Still the Waldorf Lector, vocoder would be fun to have, but at the asking price it seems like a tool for the high end studio..
Oh yeah as to the manual, I think because the Filterscape is such a complex conglomeret of technologies under one hood, a modular eq with hardwired but numerous source and destinations, as well as the pre wired routings, that to make a manual for it would be one very difficult task, as you can always find new undocumented ways to use the beast..
So it makes almost any statement about what it CAN'T do untrue!
No the manual is pretty good as it is. Spend time on the new Features, I'll come with some cautious suggestions after I feel I know it more thouroughly. I'd actually prefer seeing work done on Bazille.
Not that I'm a modular wiz, it's just that the Bazille would encourage new experiements from all the sound design geniuses out there.. The results of their efforts would then be resource Which I can use with out knowing that much about the technical aspects of it while at the same time I can become more proficient at developing my own patches by studying the masters...Works..
I'm all for complex open ended technology, which leaves me room to grow with time.
