Actually, the better quality the DAC the more likely it is to cope gracefully with high ISPs levels that might cause problems with budget setups or mp3 encoding. ie: its more important to check ISP levels, not less.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:No matter how nice thier D/A of choice

Haha, it can be so easy to misunderstand people in the interwebz! I understood that you basically were talking about the same thing. But surely we all agree that ISPs can bring technical problems when they're present. It's definitely worth to avoid them.IIRs wrote:No, I don't think I did. You might take the DAC into account to decide what level of ISPs to permit. But you then need an ISP meter to determine whether your specific material meets those criteria or not.chacka wrote:You just paraphrazed what Compyfox wrote, too. Cool.
Good luck for your teeth!

Haha, sorry about that! I was just being flippant.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:Nothing wrong with us metalheads Kim at allKim Lajoie wrote:Just so I don't get painted as a metalhead, sometimes I actually do master lower than 0dBfs and I do pay attention to intersample peaks. I do it that way for projects that can't tolerate any distortion, and require a smooth clean sound. Often they're the more sparse and dynamic projects.
