Hello Zebra 2 users, I just wanted to know if there is a way to automate XY pads in Logic Pro 9, I tired searching the automate parameters, but couldn't find it, did I miss something? Please Help!

Hey man sorry nobody has answered yet but there are SO MANY ways -- and it all depends which keyboard and which LOGIC you are running... but the very easiest and SUREFIRE way that I like to do it is just use Zebra's own MIDI LEARN XY command which you get by control-clicking on the XY pad and then twisting a knob on your controller...
in fact, I keep my little Oxygen8 keyboard knobs dedicated to that - so they always work on every patch
meanwhile, the AXIOM PRO 49 is hardwire mapped already, so it's a drag to try and override it.. and I don't like the placement of the knobs that it defaults to...
hope that helps, Pete

Hello Siddhesh,
Sellect: Automation > Zebra2 > Core > X# or Y# you wish to automate.
Core is the second item in the Zebra 2 list of parameters. It has the matrix and X & Y automation tracts.
Sorry I didn't see this post before.

Hey Pete, thanks for replying, well I use the Logic Pro 9 with Novation Nocturn keyboard which uses the Automap software.
Well I also wanted to ask the second question that when I use the touch automation in Logic with the Nocturn there is not automation written. I hope its some bug with the Automap. I will try to figure out if there is another way like using the other parameters of automation (latch, write). Cheers!!!
