Shreddage/FL Studio Videos and Tutorials

I was wondering if there are any videos like the Shreddage X video that shows it being used in FL Studio or any good recommendations I don't have to go through 100+ topics to find?

I'm great at making music, especially with Shreddage in my opinion, which is funny since I lack any music knowledge in certain areas that people gain going through college or even beginner classes.

I can use the modwheel in the piano roll, velocity, multiple outputs for a better Guitar Rig 4 sound, etc. So I guess what I'm looking for is metal knowledge/ideas on the best tempos, common rhythms, scales, etc- the same stuff shown in the Shreddage X video, mixed with some tricks I might not know and good Guitar Rig amps that work great with Shreddage that you currently use?

FL Studio aid with Shreddage would be the best.

However, it sounds like you're looking for something more on the compositional end. That's a great idea and not something I had considered yet, so as soon as I get some free time (a precious commodity for me at the moment!) I'll definitely do another one. In the meantime, you might be able to look for generic metal guitar playing/writing videos for inspiration and tips.

I've took a step into learning music theory and metal scales that are popular. I been testing everything from Aeolian to Harmonic Minor to mostly using A Minor, E Minor, etc. My current work is an attempt to do metal in the Arabic scale while also using an Arabic style of music. This has helped me insanely.

Just curious though, how come multiple notes on the same guitar don't sound well together unless they are on separate piano rolls under separate instruments? I rarely use them and I stopped using power chords, but just curious as I figure this would help a lot.

It's just an issue of how amps/distortion works. If you have two notes in the same signal running through the same amp, they get amped together. If you have a fourth, third or octave, this will usually sound ok. Any other interval will produce some gnarly inharmonic distortion, which you may not want.

The FL Studio Double Tracking one was excellent! I now know how to DT without using two instances of Shreddage!
