GForce on Receptor 2

Hi Everyone,
I was able to install impOSCar 2 on Receptor 2 (Pro Max, running 1.8.20100924). This was not quite a smooth install (like a receptorized plugin), and I couldn't get the patch browser to work from within the imposcar 2 editor. I was still able to load all of the imposcar2 .fxp preset folders into Receptor separately, and then use Receptors' browser to change patches.
A few hints:
1.) Get the demo/pc-installer from here.
2.) drop installer.exe into Receptor's "Drop Installers Here" folder.
3.) run the installer (Install plugins button on the setup page)
4.) specify to only install the VSTi (not the standalone).
5.) specify the same folder location for patches, docs, and .dll
(I used \Program Files\VSTi Plugins\Unsupported Plugins\GForce\imposcar2)
6.) Hit 'install' The installer seems to put everything on disk, and then hang. I rebooted my receptor at this point.
7. ) Remove the installer.exe file from the "Drop Plugins Here" folder
8.) Remove the imposcar2FX.dll file from your imposcar2 folder
(For some strange reason, both the imposcar2.dll and imposcar2fx.dll have the same vst ID. This confuses the Receptor installer routine).
9.) Go to the Setup page, and hit the "Install plugins" button. This should install the .dll via the unsupported method - and you should see imposcar2 on the instrument list.
10. ) after all this works, have Receptor copy all of the .fxp folders (in your imposcar2 folder, inside the folder 'Instrument'. Just copy all of the sub-folders into the "Drop Installers Here" folder, and press the button on the setup page).
It's sortof a bummer not having the editors patch browser working - but having Receptor's patch change system helps alot.
Hope this helps,
Kevin L

By the way, registration works just the same way as on the PC/Mac. Just bring up the "About Imposcar2" info page, and type your User Name and Registration code into the text fields.

.... Well, having a receptorized version without any issues would be nice .... on the other hand, having a CR protected GForce plugin, that I didn't need to pay extra for an iLok auth is pretty nice too.

Thanks Balda for this description on setting the registry keys to get impOSCar2's patch browser working!
