Hmmm... maybe Howie was programmed by Clemens?

I don't remember if I already made this request in the past, but it would be great if you offered a single download which contained the latest builds of all your plugins the way Fabfilter does.

I'm sure several of us own all your plugs, and even for those who don't it's a good way to get demo versions of your other plugs on people's PCs - it's also a lot easier/nicer than downloading and installing 5 separate plugs.

Just something to think about.

Yes. We've planned an extra downloads page where everything is available, pre-installed versions, compact stuff.

Just haven't got there yet!

Would it be possible to change things so we can assign mseg's to lanes the same way we currently can the env's?
Even just changing it so setting a lane's volume to zero and modulating it with an mseg would work. Right now, I can't figure out a way to make that work either.

edit- Another suggestion: wouldn't it be better if the fmo section at the bottom was more like the mseg section? This would maximise space for the key>gain and velocity>gain sections, while also allowing the user to see all the zones overlapping, helping with key-splits. I onlysee positive points to this, but if anyone sees any negatives, feel free to share! I'm almost certainly missing things that someone else sees.

Easy - DON'T set lane volume to zero, invert the MSEG!

Howard: you're right. I just always get confused by why I need to do that, but it turns out those modulations only scale the value, not add to it, which is good to know! (and I now do, thanks to the wonderful new manual, my new bedtime reading :D). My main wish was to sidestep this entire point and just assign an MSEG as you would the regular ENV's, though. Is there a particular reason this isn't currently the case, Urs? CPU consumption?

Anyway, I don't want this to turn into a FR-of-the-day kind of post, but I'm really quite fond of the sounds you get out of a pitchshifter, and can't help but think a per-voice pitch-shifter would be wonderful. I'm especially fond of Robin Schmidt's (rs-met.com) pitchshifter, with it's somewhat lo-fi granular nature, and its feedback (which as far as I'm aware is quite unique?) which makes for really dreamy sounds in my opinion. Is something like this something you'd consider for Zebra, Urs?

You already have two of these - "SB".

Hehhe, those are frequency shifters. I think MP meant pitch shifters like Uhbik-G

The reaon for not having MSEGs is easy: VCA envelopes of a polyphonic synth must finish on zero after the key is lifted. MSEGs do not necessarily do that, they can loop forever. Thus in Zebrify has it, Zebra doesn't.

(or does it? Must check later...)

Okay, perfectly clear answer, thanks :)

And yes, I did mean a pitchshifter, not frequency. While the SB's are interesting, they don't have the characteristics I'm looking for.

Random Square LFO shape

This can be accomplished now with a Mod Mapper and a stepped random LFO...
http://www.3amnoise.net/random_square.zip

The basic idea is an lfo that randomly alternates from high to low, but in semi-predictable intervals (defined by the LFO rate). If you could assign a Mod Mixer to the modulation input on the Mod Mapper, it would be better because you could use the sum mode with the constant control or a second modulator to adjust the probability of the LFO going high vs. low (if that makes sense).

If you just added Mod Mixers to the list of modulation sources for the Mod Mapper, I could get the results I want in Zebra but... Ideally this could be a mode for LFOs in all U-He synths and FX. Maybe the phase or amp control could be re-purposed as a probability control in this mode? Just a thought.

Would it be possible to make the preset popup menu/window in Zebra, to open to the preset that is selected, instead of the first preset within a folder, as it does now?

Hmmm... consider not doing it a bug... must be somewhere in the Cocoa layer...

Using Logic pro 8.
Saving a Zebra patch.
It will not allow me to input the user name area, but does allow me to input words in the other fields there.
It does not have this problem in either Live8 or Garageband5
