so you're no longer up for the Autumnal theme (which I've been trying get people interested in)?

Seeing as Zebrallete is the subject of this month's One Synth Challenge, and as it's just been made freeware, how about a freestyle Zebrallete contest?

I reckon OSC contestants will already have patches to submit, which would hopefully mean a good overall level of participation.

Hmm.. tuff one! :D ... the Bazzile idea sound like a lot of fun though... better stick to that than. :)

But then we lose the synchronicity with the OSC contest, which was the whole reason I suggested it.

I like your idea, but it's really "Modular Madness" for Bazille by another name. I'm not so keen on running two very similar contests one after the other.

Yeah, I guess that's true... if you really want a Zebralette contest that's fine with me, but can we make it a little more specific than a freestyle contest? :) .. just for fun ...
For example "Bazzile bacteria and laboratory noises" sound to me like more and specific fun that "modular madness" ..

So what Zebralette patch contest do you have in mind other than freestyle? :)

Ah, but the point of synchronising it with the Zebralette OSC is to collect patches that may have been made by participants of the OSC for the OSC - thus increasing the number of patches submitted. Specifying a theme would mitigate against this.

Hold on to your horses 3ee! Though I like your enthusiasm, nothing's been decided yet. Wait and see what others have to say...

How about "try to emulate/copy" your favourite synth instrument from your favourite songs.. does that make sense?

I.e The "take my breath away" bass..

Sure does! :)

Going to have to make a decision on this soon.

Bearing in mind the low turnout for the current contest, I'd prefer a theme that will get the punters in.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Real instrument emulation.

That'll get the punters in? :?

(IIRC, the last time we did an emulation contest it was a flop.)

Bearing in mind the low turnout for the current contest, I'd prefer a theme that will get the punters in. I think the Zebralette Free Style idea will do that, and that's what I'm leaning towards at the moment.

If you're interested in participating in the next contest and have a preference from the themes listed in the first post please state it.
