Patch Contest Rules: The fine print.

Voting rules:

• You must be a member of KVR to submit presets as well as voting. We do this for accountability and to make sure no one tries to vote for themselves under different names.
• All votes are appreciated, and however one decides which patches stand out is the right way. A little feedback explaining votes is very welcome as well, just keep it short and to the point.
• The presets have not been normalized and are presented to you as they were submitted. It's up to you, the voters, to decide if a preset appeals to you (clipping, too quiet, or just right).
• Results will be tabulated one week from the date of this post when the poll stops running.
• The preset awarded the most overall points wins. Best of luck to all the entrants!
• All submitted patches will be pubilically posted on the u-he Patch Library.

Notes for patch authors:
Please no hinting or saying which preset(s) are yours. Let's keep it anonymous until voting is closed. As a patch author you must vote, and you must not vote for your own preset(s)!
WARNING: If you are caught creating multiple accounts to vote for yourself you will be immediately disqualified from this and all future patch contests.

Notes for everyone else:
Anyone on KVR is welcome to vote provided you have 20 or more posts. The patch contest thread will contain any additional rules or restrictions.

Voting:
Votes by patch authors and everyone else are weighed equally. The number of votes cast can vary per contest. Be sure to read the voting thread rules carefully to determine exactly how to vote.

Prizes:
The patch author with the most votes will receive their choice of one u-he NFR (not for resale) software product. Sometimes other people will offer up copies of soundsets as prizes too. Check the current contest to determine what prizes are offered. Finally, u-he has final say on who is awarded one of their prize offerings.

In the event of a tie:
Whichever of these events happen first determines the winner.

1. The authors agree on who should win. If there are multiple prizes they can agree on who gets what.
2. The preset with the most number of votes (regardless of numerical value) wins.
3. For 24 more hours anyone but the final contestants can vote for ONE of the tied patches. The person with the most votes wins counting only ones cast in this stage.
4. The KVR the user running the contest voting thread will cast the final deciding vote.

Finally, u-he reserves the right to make the final decision on whom is awarded what prizes it is offering.

What goes in the fine print would depend upon what's left out of the main rules - I thought I'd done a fair job of listing them in this post. The only rule I can see missing from that lot is the procedure in the event of a tie.

I used your main post as a template for the next contest. It has a link to "fine print" rules. That is this post. I only made minor changes to that format. I'll post it to there tonight.

Just a style thing - I'd lose all of the underlining, the orange colour highlighting, and only use bold text for the headers (not for emphasis).
