Thanks for all your work elcallio !

Yes, indeed : i had only read an older one, and the Quick Start guyide is very well done, thanks for providing itelcallio wrote:I think you can synthesize the above from the Quick Start Guide. Otherwise I should perhaps revise it!sinkmusic wrote:Is there any "one minute tutorial to drag/drop a file, have it sliced and keymapped" around ?
I have drag/dropped a file onto the GUI, but i don't hear anything when i hit my controller's keys, and i don't see the wave file display... It seems there are quite a lot of mouseclicks involved, or am i missing something ?
Thanks !
Isn't SFZ an open format?elcallio wrote:[*]I wanted something with an open file format that would not lock me and project made with it in forever. Seems all instruments, free or otherwise, use closed, undocumented disk formats.
No sorries, needed, Ecallio. Thanks for updating this so quickly!!elcallio wrote:Seems I suck more than usual. 0.9.07 had a pretty severe error causing crash on Wave->"Save As". This is now fixed, and version is 0.9.071. I recommend updating asap if you've downloaded 0.9.07.
Sorry.
That's weird. All older sound data is supposed to work. Did you mean txperf/txprog data (load save performance from UI), or FXB/Host bank data? Both should work, but perhaps I've missed something... Could you send me the files that do not work? I'd like to fix the issue.Saukar30 wrote:No sorries, needed, Ecallio. Sorry.
Everything works right now. I cant load up any of the performances that I used with the previous version, but that's not an issue to me since I was just testing. Some other users may want to test that functionality though.
It is, but afaik there are not to many instruments that use it as their primary sound format. And the SFZ format, while open, is both a bit limited in areas, and also implies a sound architecture I don't fully agree with.ermi wrote:Isn't SFZ an open format?elcallio wrote:[*]I wanted something with an open file format that would not lock me and project made with it in forever. Do you plan on adding SFZ support?
Do not forget the import function for the original TX16W waves format.elcallio wrote:I might add an SFZ importer, I started looking at it before. It is not my top prio though.
Cheers
Check the bullet points for 0.9.07. It's already in.teacue wrote:Do not forget the import function for the original TX16W waves format.elcallio wrote:I might add an SFZ importer, I started looking at it before. It is not my top prio though.

For an instrument called TX16Wx this is an historical must
Best regards

Found and fixed. Expect for next release. Thanks.korakios wrote:I am in love with this sampler!I will test it as much as I can!In the meantime I found a nice bug(crashing):
When I slice a loop and choose to "separate" on "Keymap" the first slice ,it crashes with no warning(Reaper,XP32bit).It should do nothing instead, or at least separate the second slice.
Not sure I understand what you're asking here. Do you mean that the view should not show all slices? Or just that slices should be selectable by clicking the general area of the slice (inbetween start/end)?And some recommendations:
When slicing ,in many parts, the start-end points are too many and difficult to figure out which point is for a specific slice...instead of rewriting the graphical environment(which is really cool!),maybe you could auto update the "Samples" in a way that:
When clicking on the area of a specific slice show only the chosen slice events and update the tag "Slc1","Slc2"(next to the "Loop" tag) so we can easily tweak the start-end points and the "Mode" preference....
Nice idea. Its been added (Convert splits to groups). Next release as usualAlso,on the "keymap" section you could add an option for "separate all" so all slices could be split at once...
I think he/she is referring to the "waste" in between slices, which gets confusing, as they are at the 'end' and 'beginning' of the desired slices.elcallio wrote:Not sure I understand what you're asking here.
