uh!...if the real hardware was not here next to me i could have think to do some aliasing hunt...maybe some comparative plots on attack and release times also...but, guys, i have the real one...so..who cares? not you for sure, because you all hate plots, right?

and then this is by Softube...i am exclusively an hunter of IK's sons...

Now, excuse me..i must come back to twist and stress these big lovely knobs

Actually what I would love to hear is some audio comparissons.

I don't have a plot but I can add the usual aliasing rant

"This plugin sounds great! But I don't care about it's sound since my super cool analyser shows some aliasing!!! What a piece of crap!"

AHAH!!! Proof that he is nothing more than an IK basher!!!

I don't know about you guys but I do think that if someone is going to set themselves up as the aliasing police..such as that is...then one should at least check to see whether there is any aliasing in all compressors and such.

Pylorca tested their FET compressor a while ago and it showed a lot of aliasing. Softube has since improved the oversampling in an update, but it hasn't been tested since iirc...

Well I finally got the demo up and running at the studio. Hmm.. I've never used the real hardware but I'm very surprised at the massive top-end loss of the plugin. Is this really how the hardware sounds as well? I'm not entirely convinced by this plugin.

I need to test it a bit more but it has the same annoying flaws as the other softube plugins. The wet/dry "inject" thing is horrible to use. Why can't it just be a simple normal wet/dry control? Instead you need to constantly keep fiddling with the gain knob to keep levels equal. The switches are a bit fiddly to use as well.

Considering the price, I'm not sure it's worth it for me. I've got too many compressors already.
