Uber-gratz, bzur!

Of course, now I'm listening to your track thinking "Damn, that IS good!"

Anyone else notice that only one of the top 6 tracks had a traditional kit (kick, snare, hats, etc.)? There are some kicks, hat/tambourine sounds in Irion and Ancient's tracks, but nothing approaching a standard percussion arrangement.

Maybe there's an ambient/chill trend growing... :-o

Thanks again to V'ger and Irion for all their hard work.

Oh - and gratz to Edwin Lynch for winning a FabFilter in CM's "Message of the Month". Which one of us is him ?

Congrats, bzur! :D

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to vote because of computer issues. :(

I just wanted to say thank you to all and mention how surprised and grateful I was to even get four points!

It was a great first One-Synth Challenge experience. :)

Congrat Bzur! :)

I was working on the Charlatan OSC, but I have been working on a couple other demos with Synthmaster so won't be entering in the month's contest. Maybe next month?

Congrat Bzur!
Virgos Eyes isn't my favorite track, though i think it deserves to be ranked first :)

I'm a bit frustrated, cause I got no pts  However I can understand the result, when comparing my track to the other tracks in this osc.

Your track was great - popped out first time I heard it. Great groove, mix, fun idea.

There just wasn't enough of it. Not length itself, but the fact that it was variations on the same groove. IMHO, some tracks suffer from being one good idea, others from having too many ideas that don't have time to evolve. It's really an arrangement issue. I only say it because I think arranging is my strong point (I've been in bands my whole life and tend to be a so-so songwriter, but excel at arranging).

I don't think 0 points necessarily reflects that everyone agrees a track is poor in some way, but that they might all agree on a reason it's not in the top five. My guess is that if you completely broke that track down about 2/3 through, modulated the key, then dropped it back in, you'd be picking a prize. (It's cliche, but only because it works so well)

More plz! :D

Thanks for your encouriging words joecat :D & the idea using a bridge/break with a scalechange. I'll try it next osc, although i'm used to built more monotonic tracks, without an outstanding bridge, it will be good practice :)

Both Rena and I felt, that you had the best intro of all tracks, but that the fade of the siren into the main groove kind of sucked a lot of energy out of the song. But the intro was simply spectacular.
