Velocity Doesn't modulate volume...

When I try to modulate the volume of osc A and/or B with velocity it doesn't seem to work on the positive side. it only works on the negative side of the knob. Is this a bug? A known issue? Is it just me?

I'd really like to make this work...

Just email Lennard at support..

to make it work positive you have to lower the volume of each osc. Yeh i know, its weird...

It's not that weird actually. Modulation in Sylenth1 is additive, so if you modulate the volume knob with +10 modulation amount while the volume knob is set at 10, the volume level will modulate between 10 and 20.

If you modulate it with -10 (velocity) and the volume knob is at 10, the volume level with modulate between 10 and 0 (inverse velocity).

If you want to do normal velocity, you need to set the volume knob to 0 and the modulation amount to +10.

But what happens when you use all 4 oscs and you have made a perfect sound, with each oscs having a different volume? Then you have to ruin it and start doing math, of how you are going to apply it with the velocity. Lets say OSC1A has a volume of 50% and OSC1B has 100%. If you apply the velocity to +100% ( so no velocity = no sound and full velocity = full volume ), then you have to lower the volume of the oscs right? But I also want to keep their volume relationship, so I lower the OSC1A to 0% and OSC1B to 50%, so now you can still hear OSC1B even though I have the velocity on zero. And so now its flawed. I think it would be better if we can have a small update with a new link in the matrix for the master volume, and this way, we can just lower the master vol.

Then modulate "MIX AB" parameter instead... :-)
