Hi Vojtech,
Any chance you guys could post a latency chart for your plugins?
A list of all the plugins and the latency they should report (as well as the latency for each setting, as some plugins introduce different latencies at different settings if I remember correctly).
On another (but related note), If I am using one of your effects with "look ahead" on, shouldn't it report a latency?

Hi Phillipe,
well, that would be a long and complicated chart
. Why do you want it? Also it changes from time to time, well, maybe not, but it could
.
Here are the ones that cause latency:
1) All linear-phase eqs - MEqualizerLinearPhase, MAutoEqualizerLinearPhase, MFreeformEqualizer.
2) MSpectralDynamics.
3) All multiband plugins if you set linear-phase or hybrid crossover.
4) All plugins with enabled upsampling in HQ mode. New version has also very good minimum phase upsampling with no latency.
Look-ahead is more like a delay. It could report latency, but that would be use since the host would ignore and those that don't (which I know is just FL Studio) would come into a serious trouble, because while you change it, they would need to recalculate the whole ADC tree, and you can even automate it... So no, it cannot be done.

Thanks!
I am using FL studio and when I turn up look ahead, no latency is reported (still shows 0 latency).
So you are saying this is the way it should work in FL, correct?
Thanks again!

No Philippe, I meant that the lookahead is intentionally not reported.

Yeppheeleep wrote:Exactly,
So it's normal that FL studio does not report latency when look ahead is up(by design).
