multiple inputs in energyxt

Hi,

I've previously used MCompressor for side-chaining in EnergyXT by (I think) dropping it into the modular view, where it showed up with 4 inputs. I was then able to do the routing I needed. But now when I try this, it only has 1 input.

I can even open old projects where an instance of MCompressor is in use with 4 inputs, but when I add a new instance, this also only has 1 input.

Is there a trick or setting I've missed or forgotten somewhere?

Latest XT 2.6 beta and 5.04 plugins on Mac.

Best,
S.

This is just a guess but I noticed in the settings for all plugins the ability to choose a compatibility mode for amount of outs. Could be that. :)

Well, the main problem is probably that MCompressor doesn't have a sidechain ;). It has a "sidechain filter", which means it can filter the signal for level measurement, but it doesn't have an additional side-chain input. MDynamics does.

Well that clears that up, thanks!

But this is still weird (I suspect XT), check this out:

The one on the right is already in the saved project, notice the 4 ins and outs. The one on the left is a new instance I've just dragged in, I can only get it to show up with 1 input output now, any ideas?

Hmm, interesting, no idea to be honest. Try contacting their support, I don't think the plugin ever specified less than 2 in/outs.
