Agreed. Urs mentioned in another thread that an interface / audio card they were using was causing aliasing, which is interesting. I wonder how common that is.GruvSyco wrote:factoring in output, curious what audio cards/monitoring the U-he guys are using as well.

The GUI really seems to look classy. I'm looking forward to it!

Hehehe, good job! The knobs on the bottom panels are just for fine tuning though. They'll be replaced by other stuffpaterpeter wrote:The GUI really seems to look classy. I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah, I hear ya!toitoi wrote:Wrong pic! It looks like Lush and not Diva!
I've always pictured DIVA grey with orange stripes (dunno why) or something more Tyrell_ish
Than I thought that each section will have it's own color/style depending on the selected modules. (still think this would be cool)
... So if you got all Juno parts selected for example, you'll end up a full Juno like GUI!
...but anyway, I'll be sure to love it as it will be... if it will be what's promised!

She won't have much in common with TyrellN6...
We may be "hinting" visually at the origin of inspiration, but it's a bit tricky. The Juno 60 and the Jupiter 8 share the same basic filter topology as do the Jupiter 6 and the Alphas. We figured it wouldn't be justified to mark them as 4 distinguished models when just two models are sufficiently close (with a switch maybe). But of course they're "cossbred" across those Roman god figures. Thus we stick to rather freestyle visuals without any too close resemblence. Diva is developing much of her own character these days.
Btw. we haven't done the whole supersaw thing yet. We somehow don't think it suits her anymore. We'll see...

The wood is gorgeous. It's taken from a photo of a guitar.ryandfl wrote:Finger cross for 3d modeled wood grain.
The panels are a complete waste of space, but d'oh... they just add that extra warmth

The GUI seems to look really nice
Can't wait to hear it! I'd love to have a supersaw oscs by the way but it's really not neccesary in a "vintage" synth. Maybe in a later update.
Cheers

What's wrong with polyphonic PWM?Bronto Scorpio wrote:I'd love to have a supersaw oscs by the way but it's really not neccesary in a "vintage" synth. ...
That would be more appropriate IMO. Or something like the Polysix voice unison. But I guess that's no simple thing to model.
Anyway.. I'm very excited about DIVA, looking forward to some more news + wishing Urs and the team good luck and good times with the project!

PWM and unision are of course nice! But the JP-8000 supersaw is still unique. And even if is (was?) totally overused I still love it. Maybe not in a cheesy trance context though3ee wrote:What's wrong with polyphonic PWM?Bronto Scorpio wrote:I'd love to have a supersaw oscs by the way but it's really not neccesary in a "vintage" synth. ...![]()
