am I right in thinking that the Maxi is basically two monosynths running in parallel? Any chance of dual mode in DIVA that works somewhat along those lines?
Sheesh...

I do think that if we can make a name for u-he in the emulation business we'll create an 800dv all by itself, maybe cross-bred with a CS30 and an Oscar for "the weird bunch"

Regarding the cpu issue, I think Diva will default to the middle quality setting - which supposedly gives you almost as many voices as ACE in best quality setting.

Err? :?

Oh... yes you're right, the maxiKorg is two mono synths in parallel...

My sigh was directed at the thought of adding a dual-synth capability to Diva :)

Well, I had mind the dual voice tricks that can be had with Tyrell using the Voice modulator.

And a while back you seemed to be thinking along the lines of implementing some kind of a dual mode in DIVA (here).

Yes, if we keep voice stacking (stacking = instant cpu killing)

Hmmm, I remember vaguely... I don't think it's viable though. We'll keep Diva nice and easy.

I'm sure you know what you're doing. :)

Anyway, enough of answering my silly questions...

I would love to have a dedicate chorus unit in Uhbik!
...Geting OT, but I'll throw in another vote for a simple stomp box style distortion unit too.

Perhaps a BBD type chorus? :) Already got some sweet results with Zebrify in that department.
...and kinda' busted your UHBIK-F "drive" algo :P
Gonna release a pretty cool "Tape" preset pretty soon to be featured with the Zebrify Mixing Tools! ^^

Cheers"

I've experimented with BBD models quite a lot. There's definately a chance that I'll go a bit deeper with this.

My computer is relatively old and slow in comparison to the latest and greatest machines so I was wondering if it will be possible with Diva to have it running in 'efficient' mode whilst putting a track together, and then have the option to switch it to full quality when off-line rendering or bouncing a track down?

Thanks

I think that's part of Urs' plan, yes.

Great stuff, thanks

on the same note - i would like it if there was a 'render at max quality' option so that i don't have to set ACE or DIVA to quality before rendering if i have it at draft for real time work. i appreciate the separate entries in Synth Squad for live and rendering.
