Hi,

Oh my god I have looked in this type for this type of thing :D. Ever since I used a noise waveform LFO to uncontrollably control filter in synth called INTRO, I have wanted this: manually control the thing with midi keyboard instead of noise wave putting the frequency in random place or having to automate the knob ( that would take alot of time I think).

Key follow bandpass filter with small glide and play some rythm, and maybe bigger glide with low pass filter could also prove useful. :D

Maybe it can be even possible to make some manual dubstep bass wobbler with this :D. If you can put modwheel to glide or filter attack and then control frequency with the keyboard.

Nice stuff I must say

Yep! Zebrify is awesome. There is another nice use for the keytracked filter:

Sometimes you'll have an instrument with an annoying frequency somewhere. Now you can EQ this damn frequency away BUT as soon as you play another note with the instrument the annoying frequency will be somewhere else too. A problem which often can't really be solved with an EQ.

Zebrify for the rescue :D

Just send the instrument trough Zebrify, insert a Notch VCF with 100% keytracking and set the frequency of the VCF to the annoying frequency of the instrument. Now you just need to send the same MIDI track to the instrument and Zebrify and the annoying frequency is gone :)

This also works with the peak VCF and is even a bit more controlable.

This will of course just work with monophonic instruments (maybe this will change when the VST3.5 version arrives).

Cheers
Dennis

Hi,

Nice tip, gotta keep that in mind, though I have all basics of mixing and fixing audio to learn before this trick becomes benefical for me :D.

It's still amazing to me that you get such a high quality, high performance modular effects unit with so many bells and whistles as part of the entry price to Zebra.
