A sample mangling synth, probably a granular sampler.

My know how is very limited. Clemens and I have been pondering over the function of a certain capacitor for hours. The actual difference in meaning of voltage and current in analogue audio circuits has not yet sunk in.penguinfromdeep wrote:know-how of circuits
However, if I had a graphics card to render audio on, I would do tape by creating a 3D-model of little "tape cells" and calculate their interaction with a varying magnetic field. Wait. UAD do that already...

Oh, that's easily remedied... Just stick your tongue on one of those 'button-lookin' or little striped thingys, when the device is turned on.Urs wrote:...The actual difference in meaning of voltage and current in analogue audio circuits has not yet sunk in.

Current is the evil bastard that steals all our voltages.Urs wrote:My know how is very limited. Clemens and I have been pondering over the function of a certain capacitor for hours. hmmm...VitaminD wrote:drum machine
but not like the itmlabs ones.. something more like Zebra but dedicated to percussion with a step sequencer attached.
How many voices? Will it load samples as well? Will he be able to get all of those nice filters from Zebrify in there? And maybe squeeze in some functionality from the Uhbik G/S & Runciter plugs?
I'd hire them to do that. Certainly.

Plenty, yes of course as well as be able to sample itself/generate samples, yes, yes bunches of those too.UncleAge wrote:hmmm...VitaminD wrote:drum machine

Is the plumbing analogy (voltage=pressure, current=flow rate) no help?Urs wrote: The actual difference in meaning of voltage and current in analogue audio circuits has not yet sunk in.

Very interesting question.
First, it would be nice to see drawing the waveforms in Zebra a lot easier (zoomed edit mode). Harmonic drawing modes which don't decrease the amplitude of each following partial by 1/n (HarmoBlend?). More partials per waveform.
And for the dream project... I would love them to include more and more and MORE different circuit models to Diva. Oh wait... that's not really that original, isn't it?
An u-he sampler is a neat idea. But MachFive3 looks downright awesome for all kinds of sound design already. I'm not sure what kidn of twist could Urs add there...
