but not like the itmlabs ones.. something more like Zebra but dedicated to percussion with a step sequencer attached.
hmmm...

How many voices? Will it load samples as well? Will he be able to get all of those nice filters from Zebrify in there? And maybe squeeze in some functionality from the Uhbik G/S & Runciter plugs?

I'd hire them to do that. Certainly.
Plenty, yes of course as well as be able to sample itself/generate samples, yes, yes bunches of those too.
+1 :tu:

Being one of "those people" who don't use things for their intended (or defined) purpose- e.g never even loaded "Batteries" content, as I got it as a "sampler" (effector/mangler) rather than strictly a "drum machine".

I'd be all over a U-he SAMPLER, preferably with Vst (even if limited) *hosting*, or at LEAST a built-in "rack" for the Uhbiks, and/or U-he specific innovations. People have tolerated "Reason" for ages, after all. MIDI-OUT is vital to me, though.

On that subject, a front-end MIDI sequencer/Arp reminiscent of two of my most missed (lost the serials) apps:

Techno Toys: Arp-X8 MIDI Arpeggiator and Seq-303 and with some spice ala Steve Duda's brilliant lfo-tool would be O.K. too.

With Urs genius modulation-able parameters, thrown in.

All I want is that preset that Canoo 'Matrix boi' Reeves plays in the movie -Chain Reaction-. Playable in Zebralette too though, so everyone can have free clean energy forever (when they aren't being chased for 88 minutes by various random sort of FBI/NSA guys in cheap suits etc.). :hihi:

A sampler would also be my choice, let me take a simple wave file and slice it up into many pieces and then rearrange them into something different that i can play across the keyboard.

as long as it has an XOX style step sequencer I'm good with this... esp with the Ubhiks inside.

I don't get the appear of non-drum machine samplers, personally.

Keyboard mapping, and/or manipulation of user provided samples, for starters...

That could be (and has been) for the building of an unique "instrument", with or without 'layers', and any number of other parameters like assignable 'groups', 'round-robin'... ad nauseum.

It's kinda like a (potentially) multi-timbral sample 'editor' with the samples mapped to the keys.

Some sort of straight forward "Virus-killer" VA a la Sylenth1. Proudly digital 8)

Probably would sell like crazy :D

Is the plumbing analogy (voltage=pressure, current=flow rate) no help?
In general, yes, but once the OTAs come into it...

Fixed that for you.

I'm so not kidding. Not a "all pianos and orchestras in the world in one box" sampler but a fun and creative sampler à la shortcircuit. But hey, was a nice dream ...

WAKE UP! NOW!!!

OK, ok ... 8)

I'll +1 that.

I would add that a sampler does not have to INCLUDE any sample content.

A sampler would be really nice. A modular sampler like Zebra. With additive, granular.....sampler modules
And all kinds of wacky stuff to trigger/modulate/f**k up the samples

Can I have this sampler tomorrow plllzzzz? :hihi:

Cheers
