Something like Reaktor but the UI and module building is similar to Hypercard so anyone could do anything.

Sampler spampler.
I think a sampler is really not needed.
There's already enough of them, and with samplers it's very difficult to create something unique.
It's the sample libraries that make them unique, not the sampler.
I'm pretty sure doing a sampler would be a project for someone who's into sampling.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Urs is extremely into synths, modulars and analogue. I don't think doing a sample library is something he would be into doing. It is very tedious work too.
I can't be certain of that, but just guessing.
Then there's the 10gb library download, and loads of support emails asking why the choirA# wav isn't loading.
On the other hand, I could vision an attack sample module loader for Zebra.
Like the D series Rolands have.
A small library of attack samples.

My suggestion would be to build upon the comb filters, and put more PM type features into it.

A drum Machine/ step sequencer. One that allows you to move beats off the grid.
I know you can do it in the piano roll, but having the option in the sequencer itself would be easier and less time consuming.

Samplers should be optionally available WITHOUT any samples for those who so choose, and could even have limited sample format 'importing' as well, IMO.

Wav (8-32 bit), ACID, for the gillions of samples out there already, RAW, (if need be) for using and *making* OSC/wavetables/LFOs, AIFF and Apple loops *.aiff*, are adequate with none of the bloat or glitchy translation issues, tacked on for obscure and antiquated formats, which have numerous third-party translator options available. I'd be happy with just *.wav* and RAW, personally.

Same as this.

I'm not into samplers for loading loads of orchestras, real instruments etc and I can honestly say I've never used any of the sounds that come with Kontakt. I use samplers for 2 purposes:

1 to trigger my drum hits and more interestingly-

2 for sound design

There is potential for some seriously interesting sounds using sampled audio as sound sources if you treat a sampler as a synthesizer. A sampler made with the U-he mind set and features would be an amazing tool.

Yup. I dare say there's a bucket load more soft synths out there than samplers, and people still manage to think outside the box to create new or improved products.

Hehehe, I think that, sort of modular sampler would be interesting :D.

-With built in functionality of Paulstretch in sampler module.

-Some sort of granularizer module that you can place after or before effects. Where you can recompose the time with cutting it in parts, connecting them with numbered dots, have looping points and volume control of it similar thing like the MSEG in Zebra ( attack part, loop area, release part ).
With ability to reverse a cut part of the sample, and presets of course :hihi:.

Hm.. what else

Threat detector and auto mute when neighbour approaches your doorbell :D.
