Must say, I'm not sure about the secret ballot idea...I now have to wait to see that I'm gonna loose. Its like that movie, where the guy believes he is going to evade the psycho killer. drive fast down the dirt road...BAM! The killer jumps out and gets'em with a bazooka!!

The ideal would be if the forum had an option for polls that allowed voters to rank their top n choices and that allowed voters (and only those who had voted) to see the running total. It would be an incentive to vote and it might even encourage more non-participants to do so too.
EDIT: reading up on the phpBB FAQ the board admin has the ability to allow polls with more options...

@ brian - might be an idea to pm a friendly reminder to the remaining three today, rather than risk stringing it out beyond the deadline (again)...
