Hi I just bought Shreddage and it is awesome.

Is there a way to get it to show up as a "library" in Kontakt.

(I tried the usual import library process on the unzipped folder but it says it found no library to import)

At the moment I am loading pathches via the K4 browser.

Thanks a lot

That's the way to do it.
To show up in the library tab, the library developer has to pay Native Instruments a fee to be able to encrypt it.

Yep, Jerome nailed it. We would like to have Shreddage in Kontakt Player format but it would raise the price (most KP libraries aren't cheap...) and we don't really want to do that to our current or potential customers. But we wouldn't rule it out for some kind of Shreddage sequel, which would have all of the original library's content as well. Maybe.

I think it would be worth the price... maybe make it like a "premium" version with all the old stuff and easier integrated workflow. :) Makes the product seem more legit and professional... not to mention easier/more organized.

That is true. I could foresee doing it for something like Shreddage + X, Bass and some kind of lead or sequel library all bundled into one.

Does this mean that something new is brewing at IS? When can we expect it? Christmas is nearing fast! :D

Considering the amount of time it's taking to finish up the stuff that's been officially announced ( http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=311138 ), I'm not getting my hopes up for any new Shreddage stuff until late 2012 at the earliest.

Believe me, we're working quite hard... in fact we have three more people working on editing various current projects than we had previously. I'd be really disappointed if Shreddage Bass was not out by the end of this year. That one has been a little easier to do simply because it uses a similar approach to editing and organization as the original Shreddage. To put things in perspective, it's 95% recorded, 70% edited and 50% mapped. A lot of the hard work is already done.

On the other hand, several of our major projects which began early this year (including the mallet percussion library) have very unusual source material, which requires a different approach to editing, mapping and programming. We have to do a lot of experimentation to get an ideal result.

That's great news! Can't wait to try the bass library! :)

I stand corrected! I guess there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than I'm aware of.

Any chance we can get a Directwave or SFZ version of Shreddage Bass?

How is the Directwave version of Shreddage coming along? Is there any chance we will get to see it for Christmas?

Even though I don't have Kontakt, I can definately see an all in one library being a worthwhile purchase in Kontakt Library format for Kontakt users.

DW Shreddage is just about there... we're only having a problem with the very biggest master patch. All the sub-patches load and play fine. I just moved to a new house (and a new state) so my studio isn't reconfigured but once I hook everything back up in a few days, I'll be able to get back to work on it. I do have someone else helping though.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't do a DW version of the bass library, though as with SX, we won't be getting the scripted legato functionality. Maybe someday, if they implement that feature in DW!
