MAutoPitch Width Effect

I've been trying out the MAutoPitch and it sounds great. The only problem I've encountered is with the width effect slider. If I try to adjust this, the sound breaks up into some odd distortion. I don't quite understand the function of this slider. Maybe someone from the MeldaProduction team could give some help and insight concerning this problem.
Thanks for this cool plugin!

Hi,
the trouble with width is that while your audio may need just a few corrections, with width enabled it starts shifting each channel, and that also depends on the detected pitch, so as a result you get lots of fluctuations, which may sound to you as distortion, but I'd rather describe it as vibrato- or chorus-like sound.

What I'm getting is total noise distortion which is unusable. If it were a vibrato effect, I'd welcome that. For me, the program is almost perfect except for this. Thanks for responding.

Ok, can you send me a short example of a signal processed without and with the width.DJ_Bach wrote:What I'm getting is total noise distortion which is unusable. If it were a vibrato effect, I'd welcome that. For me, the program is almost perfect except for this. Thanks for responding.

I have the same issue. Was the cause determined or a fix available?

Disregard, I was using it in stereo mode on a mono track. All better now. Love this plug!

I'm using today's update, width seems normal to me. The latency could be about 1/4 the time, that would be so awesome.
Just found out right click is default settings recall, that's handy.

Cool, I'm glad it is ok
. Didn't thought it could be caused by using it on a mono track! Nice catch
.
Latency - it is impossible I'm afraid. Here's the theory - imagine you are "the processor"
. You obtain incoming samples trying to determine it's fundamental pitch. Now thing about it which moment you will actually be able to say "this is 100Hz", even in ideal conditions. It's 1/200s = 5ms. Until that moment it can be any mix of other frequencies. You can do whatever you want to the signal, but you still won't be able to say that until a whole period comes (in fact I just told you a half period would be enough, which I'm not sure, but it sounds better
)
