I find the cards are stacked against you... as ACE is competing against Major Audio Hosts as well as other synthesizers...

I don't know if indeed "bigger" products like DAW's usually win these awards, but IMO if you look at the picture without regard to size but pure product quality, ACE is (IMO) in the top three of the nominated ones. I'm not a fanatic fanboy of either product (nothing is perfect), but if I was a judge I'd choose either Cubase 6 or ACE.
