Note: Ozone is installed in my Program files (x86). That is where it defaulted to when I installed Ozone.ProgRadioCat wrote:Mulab's VST Plug-in Manager has a bunch of Ozone 4-related mentions but they all say "disabled". What do I do now?
Thanks,

The first tutorial mentions a vst folder. I don't have one? Can I just create one?

When you "Browse for VST Plug-Ins" you have to select a DLL file.
When Mulab reads the file and can't handle it, it disables the entry.
You might have selected a 64bit version?
Sorry, but I don't know how the Ozone files are called. So, I can't help finding the correct files.
The can delete the disabled entries by right click and delete.

Thanks! I deleted the disabled entries. I am also trying to install the 32 bit not the 64 bit version even though I have both offered through the download.AndreasD wrote:When you "Browse for VST Plug-Ins" you have to select a DLL file.

The file is labeled: iZOzne4.dll
I will try to install again searching for that particular file.

Nope. Still disabled after clicking on the .dll file. I think that the problem is with the Ozone 4 installation itself. I will try and re-install.

It already is the only VST in my list. I am going to try and re-install Ozone 4 and see what happens. Thanks, jpumphandle.jpumphandle wrote:The only VST that should be installed is - iZotope Ozone 4.dll. Quick Question before attempting re-install: Should I install in Program Files x86 or somewhere else? Please supply me with a suggestd file location name should you suggest somewhere else. Thanks!

If you install a 32 bit host that is the correct location,ProgRadioCat wrote:Quick Question before attempting re-install: Should I install in Program Files x86 or somewhere else? Please supply me with a suggestd file location name should you suggest somewhere else. Thanks!
my 'vst plugins' folder(cubase 5) gets installed to Programs(x86)>Steinberg>Cubase 5>Vst Plugins
Sometimes some hosts I've demo'ed install the 'Vst Plugins' straight into the Programs(x86)>Vst Plugins.
Hope this help, haven't read the whole thread! Yes, I realise I use Cubase...

Thanks for the help, breakmixer. I messed about a bit and have now successfully installed an enabled 32 bit Ozone 4 into MuLab's VST manager. Now, how do I: 1. start it up within MuLab, and then 2. import audio so that I can use Ozone 4 to improve it? :)ProgRadioCatbreakmixer wrote:If you install a 32 bit host that is the correct location,ProgRadioCat wrote:Quick Question before attempting re-install: Should I install in Program Files x86 or somewhere else? More messing about and ZAM!, I figured out how to start Ozone 4 within MuLab.
Now, finally - What are the controls/steps that I would use to import a complete song in .wav format into Ozone 4 within MuLab to start to play around with its sound? So close yet so far...Thanks, ProgRadioCat

To add the wav files in Mulab, I would just select them all in the windows explorer and drag them into Mulab.
Then route each track to a rack. In M3 right click on a track and select "Choose target" or in M4 simply drag a rack onto a track header.
Create more racks by right click in the empty rack area and select "Create Track".

Thanks, Andreas. I was able to import my music into Ozone 4 and use it somewhat effectively. Now, how do I save only my new, Ozone 4 processed audio? I figured out how to save entire work sessions of mine using Mulab's "save as" feature but this saved everything about the session including the Mulab rack settings and the Ozone 4 settings. I don't want all that information at this point. I only want to save the music recordings that I used Ozone 4 to enhance as new .wav files. How do I go about doing this music file-only save? Is there a "save as" feature in Ozone 4? Or is there some way to extract only the .wav file from the entire 'saved as' Mulab session? Again, many thanks to all that have helped me here. Thanks jpumphandle; will do. I really like the way Mulab is laid out and will purchase one of the upgrades to it either tonight or later this week. :)PRCjpumphandle wrote:Use the menu item - File>Mixdown Audio.
Select the track or tracks you want to render. A dialog box will provide the naming of the new WAV file - rendered with all effects applied.
