Note: We're working on a whole new level of gui resize. We've even worked out a new bitmap file format that will cut down the gui opening time massively. It's not yet finished though, but it'll be part of this beta test at some point 8)

MIDI-learn on some controllers (like cutoff frequency) cause the UI to completely stop responding (at mouse-actions).
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

CPU through the roof even on a 3 note chord, Cubase 5.1. W7 Dual Core 32bit. Seems unusable for me atm, sound breaking up, scratchy/distorted...

If you want more info - tell me what you need!

Post

That's expected on a dualcore, breakmixer ;) Diva is a CPU hungry beast.

Depends on the patch but that doesn't sound like a bug to me. I can use 50% of a core with just two notes on my i7 laptop. DIva is CPU hungry. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that it's not as CPU hungry as I thought it would be.

OSX 10.6.8 both VST/AU in NI Kore 2.1.3...

Downloaded Justin's and Dennis' presets, am getting some hanging notes when changing presets... (had an appropriate moment with 'Menace') which have sometimes led to the audio to quit (reloading works)... have also had a couple of 'silent presets' as well as some clearly wrong audio (a string sound with just waves of white noise effect).

Will try Diva now in Live to see if these niggles are consistent).

(win64bit,Vista core 2 duo) i can click the little Rev number thing in the bottom right hand corner and i can select the number. i don't think that's supposed to happen :)

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same thing if I'm holding a note while changing patches. If I'm playing a sound with a long release time and I change patches while a voice is still active, I get silence as well.

I'm using the AU with Live 8.2.6 in OSX 10.6.8

OSX 10.6.8, AU/VST General Comment: Have also noticed that sometimes the knobs and faders don't feel very responsive (specifically the VCO 32', 16' etc knobs, where they are notch-type but also the Envelope ones) and can be hard to move.

(It doesn't appear to be happening all the time though)

Yep, I'm getting this as well as some presets being very loud with nothing but distortion.

To be fair, some of my patches are very loud with nothing but distortion. :hihi:

No alternative scales, microtonal tuning? Why? I thought it was standard on all commercial u-he synths. There is even space for it in the tuning pane below the glide mode menu. Is there something particular about Diva that prevents this?

Up to 30% for a monophonic patch (with transistor ladder filter) and 40% for a 3 norte Synth Brass chord (with OTA ladder filter) at "great" quality here using a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.4 GHz) CPU (which is around 4 years old). A Synth Strings patch with 3 notes and the OTA ladder filter is around 50-55%. The biggest CPU killer is the multimode /SVF filter with up to 70% for 3 notes. With "Draft" quality/accuracy this goes down to around 23%. The "accuracy" (=quality) setting is at the right part of the Master section of Diva.

Like already mentioned it's no surprise that Diva is CPU hungry but with lower quality settings (e.g. "fast") it should be usable on slower systems.
