I think that Muse guys should carefully take into account the Audiostation (www.seelake.it).
Check out its GUI, advanced features. Why Receptor's interface has to be so complicated?
Audiostation is really full of super-features (backing tracks playout, midi patchbay, advanced mixing features) without the hassle of complicated install procedures (it is based on an embedded windows OS).

Thanks for your input. We appreciate it very much. I'm aware of the seelake product, but to me it is much more like a computer workstation than a music instrument. As soon as you start adding DAW software, and backing tracks, and stuff like that, why not just go out and buy a fast computer instead with an RME interface?
A vast majority of our customers have come to see their Receptor as a sampler, or a sound module, or a synth, and not a computer with a built in audio interface. That concept is even more pronounced in the upcoming MuseBox, which is way more like a music instrument or effects processor than it is like a computer.
And rest assured, we are aware that the Receptor interface is too complicated for many, and I hope to be able to comment on that topic in public in the near future!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts - it is appreciated!

What about system upgrades? Are you working on some improvements to be introduced soon in our receptors? The latest upgrade is quite old, frankly...

I would tend to agree with you... A big reason for this is because we have been getting the MuseBox out, but now that that is released to production, we are able to look at Receptor again. By chance are you coming to NAMM?

Hallo everybody, I'm a happy Seelake AudioStation owner and user.
Personally I'm not interested in comparisons like this is better or this is worse... AudioStation's features are already widely described in the company website and AFAIK on the market there are no other devices for live that are complete and advanced like Audiostation.
IMHO, saying that Audiostation is more like a computer than a device for live is totally wrong.
For sure, Audiostation - like Receptor otherwise - is computer-based, but not a common computer.
As an user I can assure that this device has really been conceived for live: simple to use even in complex situations and, moreover, reliable at all.
Audiostation is not just a sampler or an expander, is really all that I use to perform live (alone or with two other musicians, my band mates) without buying tenth of expensive and huge devices!
I personally think it's a great idea that it can be also used as a DAW for the studio, since it saved me the money needed for a second system for the studio.
Finally I must say that the guys at Seelake, beyond being very qualified and helpful, are very brilliant!

the only thing I really like about this box is the dedicated remote controller.
this is something I'd like to have for RECEPTOR, too.
