The little 'M' buttons on the ADSFR and on the VoiceMixer stand for "master", they control when the voice gets turned off. On the VoiceMixer it will turn the voice off after it's been silent for about 20ms. Or on the ADSFR it'll turn it off when the release phase finishes.Acronym wrote: Thx for the hint, but it didn't work. If you're getting clicks it means one of those modules is turning the voice off while the patch is still producing sound.
Generally you should only have one "master" on the whole patch.
To use velocity on the amp envelope you add it as a 'modifier', that means you right click on the input panel with the cable, then select the modifier from the menu. Then you'll get a little icon appear on the panel, and you can click on that for extra options, like amount, or shape etc...

Thanks Chris, it was the M button. I knew that it meant "master" but all I could remember when I worked on the patches was that it saves CPU. After reading your comment I Just loaded a sound with that click at the end and saw that I activated the M button on the ADSFR, no more Clicksounds after deactivating

Thanks V'ger. I'll post a fixed version this weekend.V'ger wrote: That would probably be best. Have a look at IxoxDelay, ReaDelay, Roku (44khz only), MgTempoDelay or Classic Delay.

ahhh... managed to get a constant kick!
it is so easy: just turn unision to 1... logically you wouldn't get a constant kick with unision turned "on"
my entry follows with the next post!! yeeeeeeeeeehawww

aw, consistency is no fun!Karten wrote: I didn't really want to do that when I started but I just couldn't get consistency for the kick drum and the snare. Hence the sampling idea.
But I still wonder why it did that since there was no LFO or velocity involved.

It is done. I have just uploaded my first entry into an OSC contest. It is an ambient track with a bit of a cinematic feel to it.
My entry was created on Sonar X1. It uses 10 instances of Sonigen. It also uses the following effects:
Veemax Maximizer
MVerb Quad
Reflex Free
I hope you enjoy the track and I look forward to your comments.

Welcome here and cheers for the submission
But as modulation effects are not allowed and Reflex has modulation hardwired it should be replaced to comply fully with rules.
You're not the only one to use delay+modulation as it's been quite popular in entries lately, but I guess the modulation gives it a sweeter sound than normal delays which is the very reason for its use..

With all due respect, I don't think what you said is accurate. It is listed here as "delay/echo". This is from the description, "Its sound is a mixture of straight stereo delays followed by a dense cloud of reflections." This is consistent with a delay/reverb-type plugin which is allowed. It does say it capable of "chorus-like" modulations, but that is inevitable given that chorus is a delay effect and almost any delay effect can be used to create a chorus. In my case, I used it specifically as a delay/reverb effect and not as a chorus. I use it to create space in the mix which is its purpose.V'ger wrote:Welcome here and cheers for the submission

Please consider allowing this plugin. I am leaving town tomorrow, so I won't have access to my studio to try to find a replacement. I have put in a lot of work on this piece and I would hate to see it disqualified because we disagree on the nature of this plugin. Please reconsider your position.
Thank you,
JJ

Here is a preview of our new track Inside the Machine.

We are sorry, but we can't present any sound right now. We are still working on releasing melodies from those eternal feedback loops, being careful not to wake the beast inside.
We are shure to make it in time for the contest. Remember, there is German engineering involved.

Modulation effects are not allowed and this is clearly a modulation effect, it just has a delay as well. If the modulation part could be switched off or bypassed it would be a pure delay effect so ok then, but it's always on, so you're using a modulation effect.JJBiener wrote:With all due respect, I don't think what you said is accurate. It's obviously not a huge thing with slight modulation, but there's a reason you chose this effect over others, and like I said before, modulated delays are getting a lot of preference over standard delays from other contestants lately and it's obviously for the sound as there are tons of other regular delays (and reverbs) out there.
This is mostly for fun but still a competition and not fair to the others who have resisted tempatation for a thicker sound with modulated delays etc, and those who did use it have replaced the plugins on request so see if you can find time to do so in the 8 days remaining before deadline.
