Are there any factory patches for DIVA?

With the collaboration of brzycki, my first collection is already uploaded: http://www.u-he.com/PatchLib/presets/di ... atches.zip
It consists of a bunch of patches recreated from the Minimoog, the Juno-60, and from the Jupiter-8. The Minimoog patches have been recreated from patchbook diagrams, the Juno-60 from and Jupiter-8 from the factory patches diagrams in their manuals. Finally, there are a few templates for the Minimoog. I tried my best to remain faithful to the originals as much as possible. Any feedback (good or bad) will be appreciated.
I will keep programming, and I plan to complete the entire Juno-60 Factory patches this weekend. I will follow with the Jupiter-8 and will make more recreations from the Minimoog. I don't know if I will take ther MS-20, but I might.
Later on, I will start programming my own hybrids, taking advantage of all the bells and whistles in the final version of DIVA. I am having a lot of fun programming this. It's so easy and so good :-)

I put together 20 Diva kick drums for fun -

Some of very straight forward and some are kind of goofy. I don't make my own drums often, so feel free to give me some feedback on these.

TBH, 95% of the factory sounds are pretty dull from those patch sheets (xylophone? wind? dog bark?  ), but some are handy for noobs who want to get to grips with the basics of those synths. The Juno60 ones def sounded the best of the ones i converted. Converting 1:1 doesnt yield accurate reesults either, so you have to find audio examples and tweak (synthmania is a good place as you have said)

I am also using the Arturia demo version for setting the values correctly (as at least in this respect Arturia sees to be quite precise) and double check with a audio demo (or a song) where possible so in most cases i don't use the 1:1 settings. I also used the Voice Pan trimpods to make the sound "wider".

Same for the Minimoog. The envelope values are different (and the Cutoff too a bit) so a 1:1 copy of the patch sheets will lead to wrong results.

Example: A setting of 30.00 at the VCA ADS envelope corresponds to around 1000 ms on the Mini (checked with the Arturia demo and an audio demo for one case) while a setting of 30.00 at the VCF ADS is around 200 ms at the Mini.
If you would guess by the knob position on the patch sheets you would get a value of around 20.00 for the 200 ms so'the difference is 10.00 to the real one and the resulting time would be too short which results in a different sound.

I'll publish my next update including the first Minimoog presets (and others) today in the evening.

Conclusion:
While in comparison to the Arturia synths Diva nails the sound of the real thing much better the Arturia synths are much more precise in terms of scaling of the knobs and/or sliders where the Jupiter sliders are much better in this respect.

unfortunately the Artruia Jupiter factory presets dont match the hardware ones, ie they are not in the correct order and are not named, so a bit of detective work is required...but its not worth it really for reasons i said before.

Best to just dig in and make some original stuff 8)

You are right about the Arturia Jupiter factory sounds. They are different, at least some (e.g. the very first one No. 11). Some which got more or less the correct sound use differnet combinations of e.g. filter and envelope settings than on the patch sheets.

There is more work on recreating those presets than just typing in the values from the patch sheets...

I already started doing a kind of conversion table (As the envelope values are not linear!!) for the Minimoog values but i still use the Arturia demo (by typing in the patch sheet values and not using the included factory sounds...) to check it. I hope i'll have a more correct conversion table soon. Same for the Jupiter.

BTW i had first tried to use a free Minimoog clone (e.g. minimogue or RA Mowg for comparison/calibration but you could forget those for this task...

Excellent, actually getting into Diva has caused me to go and check out ELP for the first time in my life (I am 40!!) just to listen to how they used the Moog. I got Tarkus and have been really digging it.
