Diva - classic synths that deserve emulating?

Purely hypothetical, given a free choice, what classic synths/oscillators/filters etc. would people like to see modelled in Diva?
My choice, for its flexible voice architecture, the Arp Odyssey.

Definitely both the above, and a SH101 and/or SH2. (We can't wait for D16 forever, and besides I'm sure Urs would do it differently.)
AM Synths may make the Ody stuff easier to replicate. They're bringing out an Ody filter clone in Eurorack format, along with other ARP filters. http://www.amsynths.co.uk/index.htm

When all else fails, read the instruction manual.

a Pro_one...but anything with a CEM3340 for the oscillators.
they are really nice and rich...even in the doepfer "HQ" osc module...u can hear how good they are and the FM on it always brings a smile.
then i'd like a polivoks emulated...very underrated synth....which probably can cater for the ones looking for a more driven blocky sound.
but URS doesn't have it in his collection (i've not seen it in his latest studio pics) so....might be a very distant hope.
nothing else personally.

I've ordered The Harvestman Polivoks filter for my Eurorack. We'll see, if it's viable to do then I might just borrow a real Polivoks for the final tuning.olikana wrote:then i'd like a polivoks emulated...very underrated synth....which probably can cater for the ones looking for a more driven blocky sound.

However... please don't expect too much anytime soon. It took us a very long time to model the things we've modeled. We now have loads of other construction areas to attend to...

For the sound of it's oscs and filter... but mainly for it's knobs
Btw, there's only one of them that's been ever made so... good luck!

In that case... System 100, 800dv, CS-30 (uh... too flexible), OB-Xahakey wrote:Don't worry - no expectations, just a 'what if' thread.Urs wrote:please don't expect too much anytime soon.

Mono/Poly osc/filter. MS-20 envelopes (to make the MS-20 in Diva complete). Oberheim Xpander filter. Andromeda envelopes. ARP 2600 osc/filter/env. Gleeman Pentaphonic (I know, impossible)!

...and don't forget the late '70s/early'80s monster Polyphonic Korgs -- the PS3100 and the PS3300 -- especially this last one, because "if you have to do something, do it with style" (quoting Dr.Emmett Brown in Return to the Future). As far as I know none of these have been emulated in software yet. The PS3300 is three PS3100 in a big box:
Klaus Schulze was a famous owner of the PS3300.
[...and I'm a non-famous owner of the PS3100 (still works!)

Definitely a 'future when time permits' thang... there's more than enough loveliness to explore with Diva for the foreseeable future!

Hasn't the PS3300 only been emulated a few dozen times in hardware in the first place?Axis1~SL61 wrote: As far as I know none of these have been emulated in software yet. ]

Never heard of it, but it could well be as you said... can you give me an example?xh3rv wrote:Hasn't the PS3300 only been emulated a few dozen times in hardware in the first place?Axis1~SL61 wrote: As far as I know none of these have been emulated in software yet. ]
