I'd like to see some sort of Oberheim OB-X or OB-8.

Sonic Projects already did a good job on that. Shouldn't Urs be focusing on other things?aaron aardvark wrote:I'd like to see some sort of Oberheim OB-X or OB-8.
Sonic Project - Oberheim OB-X

Hasn't 303 already been done to death? I can hardly hear any difference between the d16 and the hardware 303.ryandfl wrote:TB-303, SH-101, and SH-9 get my votes. 303 more than the others.

Considering what this new tech could bring to the 303 table, I'm going to vouch for "no"electro wrote:Hasn't 303 already been done to death?

electro,
I am interested in Sonic Project's Oberheim emulation, though I have an iMac computer, which is not ideal for the OP-X. Besides, Arturia already did a Jupiter 8 emulation and that didn't stop Urs. How many have done Moog emulations? Plenty!

Good God, Urs! I can't believe what you and Clemens have managed to pull off here... I've been playing with this monster for a few days now, and I have to say it: this is HANDS DOWN the single best virtual analog synthesizer, hardware or software, I have heard in my life!
Like I said, I wasn't going to buy anything for a long time, but this was just too righteous to pass up.
For my part, I'd love to see Prophet 5, OB-X, TB-303, and OSCar modules in this thing someday. This mix-n-match layout is driving me crazy in very good ways... what an amazing creation! I hope you keep adding modules through the years, but no hurry. As long as the models are as good as these, I can wait as long as it takes!
Bloody marvelous... this is the most inspiring thing on my computer right now! 10/10, easy.

Now, that would be something. This beast is supposed to sound absolutely stunning.NewsFromTheSky wrote:Octave Plateau Voyetra 8 (CEM 3340 VCOs + SSM2044 VCF)
I still regret that I didn't go for it when I had the chance to buy one.
On a related note, I was offered an ARP 2500... owner says it's got something he wants to see in our stuff... owner has a very persuasive nature... hard to resist... could borrow it for a year or two... hmmm...

A venerable old softsynth now - would like to hear u-he's take on the Odyssey.electro wrote:Gforce - Arp Odyssey
That said, I suspect that replicating the full Ody architecture, particularly the s&h/lfo section, might not fit with Diva's design paradigm. And the flexibility of the architecture is a great part of its appeal.
