Is there a "low quality" switch for MautoDynamicEQ?

Hi,
I was wondering if somewhere in the depths of advanced settings there was a switch in MAutoDynamicEQ to operate a bit more CPU friendly at a lower quality.

My computer is sadly a couple of years old and deploying the plugin over several tracks takes quite some performance.

For bonus points, it would be great if it could also make use of the "Inform plug-ins of offline rendering state" switch in Reaper:

Is there something like this? If not, mark it as a feature request, please. :)

Hi,

this won't be possible I'm afraid as MAutoDynamicEq will always be "high-quality" and there is no way to speed it up. The quality is caused by the design, not some degradation to cheat on CPU. I have compared CPU requirements to other dynamic equalizers I found and this one always won, so I assume it is very fast already.

To speed things up:
1) Do NOT use upsampling.
2) Do not use dynamic gain bands where you don't need it - bands, that are not dynamic consume much less CPU.
3) Do not use too steep filters - steeper filters naturally require more CPU. Anyway this can hardly be avoided and points 1 & 2 are most important.

AND ALSO - NEVER USE 64-BIT PLUGINS WITH 32-BIT HOSTS AND VICE VERSA! That makes the plugin slower and less reliable.

Please try this:
1) First restart Logic, just in case, it happened in the past.
2) Delete manually the component from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, reinstall and try again.

+1 I absolutely love it when plugins have a separate render/offline quality setting (like e.g. DCAM Synth Squad).
