yes thank you urs, i love this synth so much. so we'll see zebra 3 soon?
Hehehe, I think Zebra will stay V2.x for a while. We're going up to V2.6 in about two months (if things pan out well), which will add a bunch of new modules.

Once that's out, we'll concentrate on Berlin Modular.

I'm currently evaluating the chance to do the original concept (all-synths-in-one, plus sequencer), but we'll probably stick to the 3 separate modulars idea with some flexible parts.

Back to D,

;) Urs

Dear Urs, is does this synth have a similiar concept to FXpansion's DCAM Synth Squad? Is it "more modular" than Zebra 2?
-To get angry is to punish yourself with other people's mistakes.
-You use your ears, not your eyes to listen.
-If everyone is doing it, it must be stupid.

Hmmm, I don't think it has much with DCAM in common. It's a different approach. DCAM lets you route all sorts of modulations anywhere, but you can't see them all at once. It's a nice and simple interface, but it hides a lot of functionality. Berlin Modular can only route the things you see into other things on a single panel. It doesn't however distinguish between modulations and audio signals, so you could route an envelope through a filter and stuff. This is a different approach of flexibility, with a little lesser complexity. It's a mere classical approach, like the old (and new) analogue modulars do. ACE and Bazille both work that way.

There's some stuff in common, in that Berlin Modular is also going to be a bundle of synths, but there's no direct similarity between those.

Thus, yes, it's more modular than Zebra2, but with less variety in modules.

Sometimes I think Bazille is my favoritest synth... even in its alpha state it is so much fun to play... I can only imagine how sweet it will be when it is fleshed out a bit more!

I'm Mr. Gerbik: half Shark-Alligator, half Man... but I don't think anyone will get the joke. :(
