Having an SH-101 in there would be great. Although is there significant overlap just using the jupiter components? I'm not sure how different they are if you're just using an oscillator with a sub and a filter.

a waste for you maybe, but as its not convincing enough for me, it wouldnt be a waste herefmr wrote:I disagree. It's close enough for me (and I'm not easyly pleased). And it would be a waste to have another OB-X emulation.multilaser wrote:not close enoughelectro wrote:

There is a whole host of Eurorack modules I'd like Urs and co to 'investigate', starting with the Malekko low-pass gate/filter crossbreeds, the Cwejman MMF-6, and almost anything by Macbeth... (Do we need another thread?) But IMO the place for these experiments would be the Berlin Modular, not Diva.lofty wrote:ok, so it's digital, but please can you make an oscillator module like the "synthesis technology/motm e350 morphing terrarium"
this has layers of 8x8 wavetables. you can morph around the chessboard of each layer and also morph through different instances of 8x8 wavetables. there are controls for X, Y and Z coordinate wave morphs and it sounds lovely
As far as I know there's no software that can really emulate the sort of results possible. Obviously you can set zebra2 to match the resultant changing sweep of waves the oscillator makes but then you are fixed to just 1 dimensional movement along a given pathway without the flexibility of an e350
When all else fails, read the instruction manual.

I'm getting the Malekko stuff, and I have a Cwejman MMF-1... no MacBeth yet...
But that's rather interesting for Berlin Modular I reckon

The MMF-6 is rather different to the MMF-1.

Haven't read the thread but one thing i'd really like to see (Maybe in Berlin Modular though) is the Cwejman MMF-1! Not vintage but one of the most awesome filters evaaaa
I'd also like to see the Oscar filter (Urs has one iirc).
The Oscillator section of the SH-3/A could be interisting too!
It's not the best synth (especially the SH-3A with it's weak Roland filter) afaik but I always thought that the oscillator section is rather interesting!
Edit: I should have read at least the last page of the thread
Nice to see the MMF-1 mentioned
Cheers

And of course the obvious things: SH-101 (or one of the earlier models like the SH-09 or SH-02), The Wasp filter (!!!), TB-303 etc...
Cheers

I'd love to se MC-202 as i have never tried that one and there's no non-synthedit emulations of it that i know of..
Other than that i'll let the synth-headz here fight it out
But it would be cool to have as many manufacturers as possible

The SH-3 has the Diode ladder, the SH-3A has the Moog-style transistor ladder, according to http://fa.utfs.org/diy/roland_filters/index.htmlBronto Scorpio wrote:(especially the SH-3A with it's weak Roland filter)

The EMS VCS3 / Synthi
What about that unique quirky Trapezoid waveshape envelope generator? And that crazy self oscillating LP filter should be fun when modulated

Didn't a certain other developer model this quite well recently? Saying that, Analogue Systems do Eurorack clones of the filter and trapezoid generator so they should be 'easy' to model in isolation.Nielzie wrote:The EMS VCS3 / Synthi

I'd like the following:
EDIT: Just had to add the Roland SH-5 to this list, what a wonderful synth!
- Oberheim SEM/OB1
- Prophet 5 rev 2 with the SSM2040 filter
- Yamaha CS-5/10/15
- Roland SH-5
