Now, that would be something. This beast is supposed to sound absolutely stunning.

I still regret that I didn't go for it when I had the chance to buy one.

Given how difficult they are to find and maintain, and how highly regarded the sound is (many people consider it the best-sounding analog polysynth ever), I think if you could pull off a successful Diva emulation it would be a huge hit.

Edit: Plus, you could offer it with an actual usable UI!

Nice! Do it, do it!

I think Zebra is the obvious place for any wavetable-type oscillators - personally, I'd like to see Zebra's wavetable-scanning capabilities fleshed out even further, so it could cover wavesequences, transwaves, and PPG wavetables, and more.

Now we're talking! :D

What about that unique quirky Trapezoid waveshape envelope generator? And that crazy self oscillating LP filter should be fun when modulated :)
Didn't a certain other developer model this quite well recently? Saying that, Analogue Systems do Eurorack clones of the filter and trapezoid generator so they should be 'easy' to model in isolation.
Yes they emulated the whole synth and did an excellent job too. But I would like to see/hear those individual modules in Diva combined with something else. Because that's what Diva is all about :)

Never heard most of the synths mentioned here, but just all the names are giving me gear lust!!

I see your point...

+1 :)
When all else fails, read the instruction manual.

Another vote for CS-80. Would make me so very happy.

big +1 !!!!!! how could i leave this one out!

the cs10 is very limited feature wise but has a fantatic sound...very punchy and fat ...it's only 1 vco (the cs15 is 2 osc but i never tried one so cannot vouch on the sound) 1 env 1 lfo .... also the filter although awesome don't selfoscillate .. so if emulated it should be defenetly "revved up".
anyway cs10 based oscillators/filter/enevelope would be great. that is for sure.

I disagree. It's close enough for me (and I'm not easyly pleased). And it would be a waste to have another OB-X emulation. Matrix-12, OTOH has no emulation AT ALL, an noone I know of is working on it (is it cursed, or something?).
Its Sonically very close and they even prove this patch by patch in those comparison videos. The only problems I see are the Synthedit reliance preventing x64 Native compatibility and mac users missing out.

The OP-X is a fine synth, but the developer admits it doesn't nail the OB-X - see this thread (even if you can't spot which is the OP and which the OB, the paired examples are pretty obviously different).

I'd place money on a Diva OB-X(A?) getting closer.

And Diva isn't only about accuracy of emulation - the ability to mix building blocks from different synths is a big part of the appeal.

Hehe, I actually couldn't care less if a synth was already done or not :)

What we do is, we pick a principle/kind of circuit (DCO vs. VCO, Ladder filter vs. State Variable) and then we study its behaviour. If it's viable to do, and if we come close enough then we do it.

We're not triggered by "hey this must be included in Diva". We're triggered by "woah, I want to know how this works". As such we have a massive list of things, and the ones in Diva were maybe the most doable ones (the 800dv filter was too difficult for example). And also, we had great examples available whereas others need repair or might be better off done in another context.

I'm curious about the ATC which might arrive today. That one might have a great potential for trigger points :hihi:
