Win7 64 - ZebraCM/Triple Cheese won't work!

I love the u-he freebies (like so many others) but recently moving from a 32 bit XP machine to Win7 64 I have been unable to get Triple Cheese and ZebraCM to work. I install all my plugins to c:\VST\VST32 now to avoid the protection issues with Program Files. Tyrell N6 and Zebralette work just fine but even after multiple re-installs TC and ZCM don't even show up in my VSTi list.
I noticed that there is no way to redirect where TC and ZCM put their presets which is usually in Program Files but of course now in Program Files(x86) under the 64 bit OS.
I tried a trick Urs himself suggested here for his plugs which was to move them to a new VST folder and then create shortcuts and move them back to the Program Files folder. That didn't work.
All my other plugins including many OLD 32 bit plugs work just fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Scott

Unless you use jbridge (and even then) running a 32 bit plug in a 64 bit host is hit and miss. Sometimes there are problems you dont notice at first, so if you have a deadline just stick with one or the other (or get jbridge).
I actually have cubase 5 64 AND 32 installed, because there are some great free synth edit plugs that I just cannot live without. I have so far had no problems (besides a messed up workflow) using the 32 in a 64 environment.

Another thing is to make sure you use the installers, and not just copy the vst files to the new machine.
I tried that with ZCM and it didn't work, until I installed it from the dvd.

Actually I'm running it all in a 32 bit host - Samplitude Producer 11.5 so all the 32 bit plugs I have work fine except for these two.
Yes... I did actually run the installers for these. Copying worked for everything else after a few tweaks.
Yes... I did let it install in Program Files(x86)
Strange.
I need my Cheese!

Not sure if this is your problem. However, I have had other issues installing VSTs and the culprit was UAC.
Ensure you have UAC disabled (Start>Search[type 'UAC']>Drag Slider down to 'Never Notify') then attempt to install.
Also ensure you are signed in or installing through Administrator privileges.

Hmmm... I didn't run the installer as admin. I do run Samplitude as Admin though. I guess I give that a try.

Well it was worth a shot. I disabled UAC and ran the ZebraCM installer as admin. No dice.
Anybody else experience this?

Interesting, yeah I had an old CM disk (circa 2009) and I just tried installing it. It installs, but and I get a "Could not load plugin. (0)" message in Orion 32 bit. Shows up in the list though. Doesn't show up in Renoise though...

Still the inevitable pemissions problem I bet. If you had your plugins in C/Users/You/Documents/Vstplugins I bet it would workbachmaninoff wrote:Interesting, yeah I had an old CM disk (circa 2009) and I just tried installing it. ( that said, next year we hope to outsmart Microsoft's UAC, still without using the Registry or any other terrifying technology )

Thanks for your response Urs!
So I disabled UAC, installed ZebraCM as Admin into: C:\Users\John\Documents\Vstplugins and ran Orion 32 as Admin. Same result. It's all good though, Tyrell works!
