Getting nasty crashes in Ableton 8.2.6 when using Sylenth. I sent in two crash reports to Ableton and they confirmed that Sylenth is the culprit. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you using the release or the beta? It usualy happens when you grab a device with the mouse and drag it over Sylenths open gui. At least that was by me. Not sure if its fixed in the beta version.

I'm using the latest release. I'm not perceptive enough to realize what I'm doing when it crashes lol, but it definitely sounds like what you describe could be the issue. I just got Sylenth and have been testing it with various effects, so that makes sense.

The silence of the developer on this forum and his own website, etc makes me think I wasted $$ purchasing this synth.

He's not silent. Just mail him. He ignores just questions about the future...

Ok I'll do that. Thanks

Is it only happening with a soundbank or all of them?

I can't remember exactly which bank I was using but I'm pretty sure it was the factory bank. I'll try to re-create and report back

Could be the memory leak bug, I had a lot of trouble with it. You can identify it in the following way: open Ableton Live, open task manager and look at the amount of memory Live8.2.6.exe is taking (140MB or something). After this load a sylenth to a track, then look at the task manager again how much memory Live uses. After this close sylenth GUI, then open sylenth GUI again, then close it again, do this for a while and go again to task manager. If the consumption of RAM increases after each open/close cycle (for me it was 5MB each time) then you have the Sylenth version with the memory leak bug, which is not the latest one. And you should update to a newer version.
