When you are creating a sequence, right click and choose grid>Choose Grid.
Then select 1/12 for 1/8 triplet grid or 1/24 for 1/16 triplet grid.

When the grid is 'on' the notes will stop on triplet boundaries. See below.

much tkx..this one was hidding from me...i belive my studio software price descended from 700 to 350 euros :D... i just need to by my daws and i was considering Ableton and Reason.. so...probably i will only buy MuLab full and Reason 5... btw...can you indicate me if MuLab is solid and doesn't "jumps" playing along with Reason? this because i have an non legal version of Cubase 5 and Reason 5 and what happens is that Cubase kinda "jumps" like a bad CD often, so for my first prototype of Live Act i used Ableton to host the main .wav file and Reason 5 connected into my midi controllers and worked very well... before buying MuLab, i should check this first.. cause the idea is the same but instead of using Ableton, i want to use MuLab... its much more cheaper, has a good interface and enough tools to make good music..for VSTi's and plugins i'm using SynthEdit.. i made some simple ones but i already made 3 tracks with them and sounded great to my ears... if you are intersted check the my VST's at www.thebeastpost.com .... Tkx once again!

He means ..NOT .. "non legal software"is not welcomed on decent music forums

Post

of course is -> NOT <- non legal software..i missed the word :P ... im an honest dude..im making my studio completely legal..despite of working on civil construction with no social security and no work ensurance for any bad luck...its aaaaaaaallllll legal :) .. nah realy.. im realy trying to make it all legal... like...this is stupid but its life's rules:

1-> you born rich

or

2-> you are deadmeat

cause...to buy your working equipment you must work in another area first...wich means...after buying your stuff and if sudenly you have the perception you are not a good musician, all money spent goes through the drain..and if you wanna try to check out if you can achieve a professional level on music first, you must buy your stuff first and spend a lot of time working on it (there it goes the other job)....or...use non legal software...anyway..same happens with djing for eg.

once a guy told me: "there are microcredits on banks!"

yeah sure..i ask for a microcredit of 1000 euros to buy some kids decks and tracks for djing then i spend 3 years learning djing and if i get luck i might find a club or disco to play with my very old tracks.... so.. i wonder how do i pay for the microcredit along these years i spend till, if so, i earn any money with it?

i guess that trial and shareware are not enough to find out if you can achieve a pro level on music...but..if you succedd earning any money with non legal software...i think its fair for a guy with some decence to grab that money and spend it in what he already has but legaly :)

well..i havent earned any money with my creations but i already want to make it legal... so..steal a bit and then give the credits might not be so bad ehe ;)

Yes. You can run Reason in Mulab flawlessly and do all the mixing in MuLab as well. So you have now a great synth Workstation (Reason) and a superior sequencer in MuLab. You should consider getting deeper in the modular system of MuLab and you will realize that the Reason's Combinator can be recreated here using Native MuLab modules as well as with the addition of third party PlugIns.
A feat that Reason can not dream of. :troll:

thanks...anyway..ive been testing Reaper this afternoon and seems much more complete than Mulab, it supports mp3 samples, Mulab just supports .wav plus it seems to have more funcionalities. Automation and midi controlling is much more easier to work with and its much more cheaper than Mulab...well...i downloaded the free version of Mulab this night and Reaper trial few hours ago...and..despite of liking very much of Mulab im now tented to buy Reaper cause ...and now a bit of my life... i only have work for some more saturdays and i earn 30 euros per each of these last days, plus, considering i pay 30 euros month for internet and Mulab full coasts 75 euros.. Reaper seems more acceptable cause it only coasts 60 USD (45 euros aprox) giving me more/same features and lets me save 30 euros (probably for another internet monthly payment).... ill decide later when i try both better, but if in the morning i was tented to Mulab now im more tented to Reaper...anyway...is very usefull and pleases me very much to get such DAW's at these prices...im tented to say its an honour from the creators of both of this DAWs....

Thanks Again!

Thanks for sharing your open comparison.
Reaper is an interesting piece of software, no doubt about that.
Allow me to focus these points:

1) MuLab's User License does allow you to use it for commercial work, even if that's a big business environment, no prob. So in fact you have to compare it to Reapers' full commercial license which is 225 USD = 168 EUR. So that's more than the double of MuLab!

2) Please compare Reaper towards the forthcoming MuLab 4, which is available as a test version here http://www.mutools.com/mulab/cedar.
Preliminary info on MuLab 4 here: http://www.mutools.com/m4-info.html
MuLab 4 is expected to be released later this month.

3) Don't forget that MuLab also includes a powerful and high-quality modular sound engine where you can build your own synths and effects!

4) General note: More features does not always mean more comfort. It depends on what you want/need and how you work.

Anyway, whatever tool you'll choose: Enjoy making music 8)

Post

well..i do agree with point 2,3 and 4 .. about point 1, i must say that Reaper's "short" licence is allowed for commercial use ..they say that "if your revenue does not overpass $20,000 per year" (i believe)..anyway..i will only buy for Xmas if i get the money though..anyway..im further to see what comes with Mulab 4... yes, Mulab seemed a powerfull tool to me... :)

Thanks!
