Finally got Ace (Ok, everyone else has moved on to Diva - I'm slow )

http://soundcloud.com/joe-cat/sad-symphony

This is a single instance of Ace - one patch, one track. Only effects are a Valhalla Room reverb (another awesome plug stupid-cheap), and Yohng W1 limiter on the master. No automation used. Played with an Akai LPK25, so there is no pitch-bend, mod wheel, or aftertouch - the only modulation source is velocity.

Really can't tell what a synth is capable till you dig deep!

(On a semi-related note - what with all the John Dahlback threads: This is less than $150 US in plugs, and though I used Ableton Live, it could have of course been done in any DAW)
"I haz no $ needz crackz"? Please.. :smack:

And again - thanks, Urs (and a shout-out to Sean Costello at Valhalla while I'm at it) :hail:

Wow! What a sound. Very impressive. And nice music, too. Would love to hear more from you. :)

I love how U-he synths sounds always like from some Hollywood movie! :)
Amazing. I got no money for ACE (and I'm not John Dahlbäck to "demo by warez"... :D), but these kind of atmospheres are exactly what I love to do in Zebra. Pesonally I'd make a bit longer release, but still, amazing work bro! :)

Thanks for the kind words. :D
Here's a link to the patch btw. Interestingly, it started as a keyboard patch. By slowing the attack and using more velocity and keyfollow, it became a soundscape. A lot of "stuff" going on when VA (though a monster one at that) starts sounding like Omnisphere!

@FarleyCZ - It's short 'cause I was basically just doodling with the sound at around midnight. Someday I might make a proper track out of the idea. I also couldn't hold the bass 'cause CPU started getting eaten!
